Finally! The new 2008 Cagiva Mito 125, 500 & 525SP have been given a facelift. However, instead of resembling the MV Agusta range, they look more like the Ducati 1098!

The first 2 pix are the new 125, the second the 500, and the third are concept sketches of the 450 v-twin. You can read about them HERE (http://www.motorcyclenews.com/MCN/News/newsresults/mcn/2007/October/october23-30/oct24072008cagivamito125revealed/?&R=EPI-96588). They look good, but no word on the specs yet.

I remember when the Mito 125 came out years ago, a 125 to lust after. Once again we haven't been let down.

I swapped bikes with a Mito 125 rider around Cadwell Park about 4 years ago. Was like riding a 7 speed an arcade game. 36 ponies I think but soooooo light. Much much quicker than my old Divvy 600 or TDM850 round there. I want one.

The new 525SP will also be a road legal machine:

Would be nice to get some dates and specs on the 4 stroke model.

There are all kinds of roumors.

Pwhoorrrr, that sounds interesting! Always thought it would be awesome to have one of the original Mitos with a VTR250 engine in it.
Theres some guys in the UK who put a CR500 motor in one, a bloody 2stroke 500cc GP bike! :woohoo:

The Mito gonna have the Hyosung GT650R engine!! Looks as if the Cagiva Raptor 650 will use the same powerplant. Soooo.... wonder what it'll cost? The Fischer MRX650 is only AUD$10,495 + orc!! Hyosung have dropped the price of the Comet 650 to AUD$7k as well.

You'd think they would've used the Kinetic brand name earlier - the bikes would have been better recieved by the western rider. The 500 was supposed to weigh only 133kg.

Cagiva will probably help Hyosung with things like frame, brakes and handling characteristics. Remember the Hyosung GT650X with its trellis frame?
