Cheesecutter ride impressions

Hey everyone... well, even with no bike, I made it to the Cheesecutter meeting point, changed bikes (being pillion of course), up to the museum, and then back to Hamilton, on a different bike again... been pillion on a total of 4 bikes today...

But more to the point. Saw a couple of really awesome scooters, courtesy of the Magnetos group I would imagine (noticed the stickers on the helmets)... Gotta love the Vespa's and that red Italjet. I would've said hello, but my original plan on going on the Cheesecutter ride (with Slicksta) didn't work out, cause he wouldn't wake up this morning... hope all of you had a great day, thanks Auckland for the great sunny weather :first:

Hey man, yeah saw you there having a peek at the GT and the Dragster. Was tied up in a conversation otherwise I would have said gidday. Was an awesome day for the ride. Was best coming over the hill at the Takanini interchange and there was a stream of bikes 2x2 all the way through to the next bend - and we were at about the mid point!:Punk::Punk::Punk:

Well done to the organisers. And thanks to the fuzz for keeping the order. Pity about the 5 car nose to tail accident. My mate on the Gillera got a puncture quite possibly from the crap from the smash.

Yeah, thanks to you and Sidewinder for the lift up to Ramarama (or whatever turnoff it was). I would have to say Bruce's CBR250 is the absolute worst bike to pillion on... even he agrees they didn't even think about comfort...

Love the GT200 racing stripes you got on your Vespa. Well, there's always next time, at which point Slicksta should be awake and I can pillion along with him.

Some smartarse did ask if it would get up to the 80k limit for the run!

Way better'n the Harley with no mufflers that was just behind my left ear. I suppose my hearing will return eventually.

Cheers, however I can confirm after riding for Albany today with no muffler that 2-strokers can be harder on the ears than a Harley....RINNNNNG DINNNG DINNNNNNG DINNNNNNG TOCK TOCK TOCK TOCK TOCK

Im sorry i didnt make it these Damn 6am finishes with fontera have been playing havoc with my sleeping patterns. Would have loved to see the Scooters in the flesh hope to see you guys someother time soon!

I had seen pictures before of a Dragster and the interesting front suspension setup, but had no idea that there would be a shock sitting between your feet... that was awesome! :cool:

I just have to say, I had a sweet encounter with 2 scooters traveling our way to Ramarama and back to Auckland. Especially on our way there, there was 2 guys, one on a vespa and one in a red scooter and it impressed the heck outta me because they managed to keep up all the way cruising at about 100-110 km.

It really made me rethink about the capabilities of scootahs!

Mate I was just taking it easy on you. :lol: I actually thought you guys were part of our group and were slowing up for them to catch up as all I could see were head lights in my mirrors. Was good to see you lads on the road, cheers for the acknowledgement on the road.

But that is the reason why I was on the cheese cutter ride, I can do highway speeds (and some) so I am just as vulnerable.
