Hey I'm planning on a 4-5 hour ride staying off SH 1 and on the curly bits from north or west AK and heading north. Meet at Shell Westgate at 9:15, Sunday the 25th of November. Leaving 9:45 or maybe a bit later if people are definite but not there yet. Isn't a mentor ride or a guided tour but can meet along the route to re-group and newbies are welcome along with bigger bikes too.
Would be cool to have a big Hyosung turnout and get some pics etc too.

I'll have a well worn weather eye out and will post if it's looking dodgy the day before with the final call that morning. Will be early enough that people can check before they leave the warmth of home.
I'm crossing my fingers for a wicked scorcher tho!

Just an FYI there are alot of road works and loose gravel along 16 up to welsford and through Kaipra flats at the moment ....

It'll be the long way 'round all the way. I've been eyeing up my map book looking for twisty lines! Will be trying to steer clear of 16 (cops) main highways and roadworks etc and with a good few hours in the saddle I'm sure easing off for gravel if it turns up will be ok. Not sure how long the whole ride will turn out to be but it should be a goodie!

I'm too cheap to pay for brekkie, there is MacDonalds right by there or a Robert Harris Cafe etc in Westgate shops right near so I'm sure you'd have company if your were stopping somewhere first.

Ah yes the "dumbass" on the Honda....
Firstly thanks all, was a great day...
As for the other wee matter. Well I can safely say that all is well. There is some scratching to the fairing but even that is minor. Other than that she needs a bath !!!
A few factors, but the key to it all was "losing concentration". That just meant evrything happened sooner than I was prepared for and made a bad decision(s) ...
Thanks to Shepster and Greg (cant recall your KB handle just at the Mo) for the hand getting the bike upright again and hanging around with me on my slow (read: cautious) ride back to civilisation.
