Hey, I'd appreciate any input from the experts out there.
I'm looking for something reasonably cheap to replace a GSX-R 250, and have found a VT250 as well as the Bandit 250 that are both within my price range. I know that the bandit does have basically the same motor as the GSX-R.
Rode the bandit a couple of days ago, and it seemed pretty good at high revs, and packed a fair bit of torque for the hills, and am now trying to see how the Honda V-Twin compares. I've always seen Honda having some fast power delivery in their cars as well as CBR's and hope there's a few people here that have ridden both of these models (89 VT and 90 Bandit) that could tell me advantages / disadvantages of one over the other.
Any input appreciated

beware of the cursed crank on the early vt's....

89 is a spada or old school one?

Bandit all the way. Try and get the more recent model, gj77a, and one with VVT. Great bikes :niceone:

Depends on the VT.
Any pics?
Don't go near it if it's got inboard discs.

ok, heres pics of the exact VT, and a pic of the same model in the bandit.
Both have similar k's on them.
like the look of the bandit myself, just want to know if anyone has seen reliability / performance differences.
Thanks

The VT will be better down low and the Bandit would be better up top.

I'd put a straight through pipe on the VT and ride it as a "mini duc".

Either would be sweet.
