Bajaj – India’s second largest motorcycle manufacturer – has bought a 14.5% stake in KTM.

Bajaj said KTM will provide the technical knowledge for joint development of a range of water-cooled 4 stroke 125 and 250 cc engines. Bajaj will take over the distribution of KTM in India and other parts of Southeast Asia.

Earlier market rumours stated Bajaj were interested in buying either Triumph or Ducati. It now appears these were only slightly wide of the mark.

Something had to happen. Rupe's were burning a hole in Baja's back pocket.
Should be a good combination.
An Indian KTM, I can hear the cries of outrage building:devil2:
Hey Clint640, would you like curry for dinner tonight?:killingme

So... in Hong Kong, I will have to talk to Bajaj to by a KTM

Wonder if NZ belongs to South east asia division as well... So who wants KTM's ? build in India. Mind you it might get a whole lot cheaper. I could just see it being made in India, designed and assembled in Europe

So far I've crossed Triumph, BMW, and KTM off the list.

I'm rooted if those buggers at Aprilia outsource.
