the roadworks form thames to corotown were cleaned up(and its a new road so its nicccce)

they were working on some of the roads further in though but it was pretty well signposted and the places they had been were relitavly free of loose metal.

those fookers should teach the auckland crews how to make roads.:spanking:

I have a favour to ask all on Saturdays ride. LAst Sunday my mate and fellow KB'er Biggles08 was seriously injured in a bike accident on Old Coach Road. He's now in Auckland Hospital undergoing multiple operations on his terrible internal injuries.
I'm going to bring a decent camera with video capabilities, if everyone wouldn't mind speaking a few words of encouragement to this little battler I know it'd cheer him up no end.
He'd love to have been on the ride, a lot of you know him as the dashing green ZX9R pilot with nothing but smiles and ascerbic wit. Oh, and his stunning and devoted girlfriend Lin!
See ya's all on Saturday morning, on-screen make-up not needed, just be yourselves

Cheers - BBM

Oh no!

Will be there with bells on and a smile and a thumbs-up for the camera, for sure.

And, what happened? Any further information about his prognosis? General worry and curiosity going on here, etc, do keep us up to date.

Nah it was defintley between 12.30 and 1pm, was a BLACK gsxr1000 or cbr1000 maybe? was a red LED type brake light that half of it turned orange when indicating, they were by themselves wearing black leathers, dirty number plate angled the same as the under tail area, they had a small bum bag type thing strapped to rear seat/cowling area, the bike had a one of those small diameter/short mufflers like micron make.they was pretty quick, and edged away in a couple of spots.

Anyone know who it was??????

Was a awesome thrash with whoever it was tho

What the? i dont get that first part of post sorry.

i got the last bit "Raj / YamahaR64Life" tho - if their bike is the same as profile pic, then it is nothing like the description. I pretty sure it was bigger than 600cc , had the 1000cc sound to it.Mite not have been a kiwibiker or asscoiate tho.

your headlights aren't stock are they? could have sworn they seemed very white, or a touch blue-ish. The pipe you saw was one of these: http://www.racefit.co.uk/growler/index.htm with the baffle in.

Was bloody good fun, I was wondering if you would pull into Coro Town, wouldn't have minded a chat, but you carried on. Was wondering if the rider was a kiwibiker...

I slowed for some sections, as the cars split us up... but bloody good fun. Hadn't ridden that road for at least a year or more :ride:

Hey man, so it was you.
Yeah bike got white / blue arctic bulbs. That was good az ride!!!
I have never ridden that road, been in a car on that road a few times years ago. been up the other coast a few times on the bike.
Lotsa fun, wouldnt have minded riding with the kiwibiker crew but couldnt finish work in time.

We catch up for a chat next time for sure!!

i think chasing Gordie and Carver through the tight stuff in first may have 'blued' her a little! But yeah if you wouldn't mind taking her out and running it in for me i'd appreciate it :D

ps.. i'm new to wheelies.. i'm still a 'L'
