Mmmm. Me wants. Probably take until doomsday to arrive here though.
155hp (being KTM, that's probably at the tyre) and just under 200kg fully fueled. Not that that's saying much, as yet again, KTM have fitted an absurdly small 16.5 litre fuel tank.

Hey that's tasty. It's a twin, too. Greeeeeeeyt. Looks like somebody rode it into a wall at great speed, front wheel tucked under  Works, though, like a B-ewwwww-l.
Why won't they do a super-massive-capacity single-cylinder sprotsbike? That would be very KTM, punters would be more receptive.

Well the SuperDuke and the rest of the LC8 powered bikes seem fairly well received!
What would be nice is the Aprilia RS250 with the SVX 550 vtwin in it like I have seen in a Brit mag, light nimble chassis with some decent power!

Not practical or efficient. The huge conbustion chamber creates all sorts of efficiency/combustion/flame front problems. A large combustion chamber takes a comparatively long time to combust as opposed to a smaller one so you have to run multiple plugs, high emissions etc. Then you are also limited by piston speed on a long stroke motor, limiting power so it ends up following a curve of diminishing returns after a point.
The RC8 looks pretty sexy, although the headlight is a little too exagerrated for my taste. Still waaaaaaaay better looking than the Buell equivalent.

Explain the ever increasing capacity of V twins over V 4s..................
Plus there is the problem with piston speeds as well with large cylinders you didn't mention as well...... until after I posted this you sneaky editor

One thing about KTM roadbikes, they are striking in appearance.
And they seem to have a good supply of orange and black paint to use up.
The styling looks hot but..155hp isn't cutting edge these days.

I............................Like it.
The placing of the exhaust there can really help tidy up the back end.

16.5 litres of fuel?
Enough to get you to the next petrol station I guess. Not a "Cafe racer" but a "Servo racer"?

I like....though not 100% sure about the headlight array...
Wait till I see it in the flesh to decide on that.

Cutting edge...no,but 155HP on a V Twin is divine :devil2:
Just spoke to my dealer and he reckoned that they'll be here about March '08 and price at $29,995

I prefers me bikes like I prefers me women ... curvy not angular, low maintainance and much older. Still, fast is good though + 16.5L tanks and twins prefered.
