I want to buy a pair of stick-on cat ears for the outside of a helmet. Xmas present for my active luggage...

I have found a stick-on cat:

but to me that looks like it's going to make the helmet much more affected by wind, don't you think?

Anyway, anyone know if you can get stick on cat (or similar) ears anywhere?

Much appreciated!

That's pretty cool!! I was thinking of getting a pair of devil horns for my helmet as a joke and they'd suit it, or antlers at Xmas time, so I'm interested to hear what people think of the safety aspects and drag effect of stuck on things. I think Motomart here in Wellytown had some things like that, but I never saw a cat.

Re: being affected by wind, do you intend to ride around town or open the open road wearing said ears?

Cajun used to tape a Santa hat to his helmet years ago and it never came off in the 20min ride to town on the open road.

Full road use, at SV650 fully loaded two up speeds.

So good to 160 at least.

I don't want them blowing off - or the active luggage needing neck massage before she stops complaining of headache at the end of the day...

I seem to remember Motomail had smaller stick-on ears.

There were a pair of antlers on someones lid, last x-mas.
Warehouse??

I wouldn't think the ears would be big enough to get enough wind drag to give her a sore neck or anything.

On a side note, has anyone seen those ponytails you can stick just inside the bottom of your helmet? You can get really long ones so it's obvious that a girl's riding the bike

If there becomes a HUGE demand for stick on tits so you guys can stick them on your gear, I'm happy to be the model.

They don't call me "aDDle" for nothing :Pokey:

The comment about drag referred to the stick on cat, not the ears.

Are they available in dreadlocks?

Who the fuck would want to be mistaken for nandor tanzscos?
(I don't give a rats about the spelling of the hippies name.)

My mohawk has done about 20,000k's (2 x Southern X, 3 x GC's) in all weathers without coming off. Good for a laugh especially at garages or around jap tourists etc...

Saw someone riding a yellow SV on the NW motorway the other day (100k+) with mouse ears on their helmet. There seemed to be no danger of them coming off. They did flap a bit - I don't think drag would be an issue but i wondered about noise.

Gave me a good giggle anyway. :D

Now, if only we could find out where they got them...

If I had been wearing cat ears I would have been obliged to chase down the mouse-eared SV and toss it in the air several times before letting it escape. Unfortunately I have no cat ears so the Volty and I couldn't keep up.

Got my mohawk thru motomail, although I have seen them in a few bike shops. Hairy R's is the brand - not sure if they do the ears though...

Did not see much of it around in New Zealand, but plenty of it in France: tiger, pig, cat, frog, mouse, green, violet, etc ears. And even the tails that match, oh and mowhawks too...Don't remember the price though (but was in euros anyway)..
Can let you know, as coming back for Christmas and if you nice enough, could buy some pairs..(shipping price will be limited at a beer or two hehe)!

Cb has those glittery tassles that the Warehouse sells for putting on the end of little girls bike handle-bars.

Only she has them each side of her helmet!

Oooh they're gorgeous! I love the little piggy-wiggy ears!

Perhaps you could organise a bulk buy through these forums to save on shipping?

Hmmmm. There's heaps of animal costume patterns around. Next time I'm in the fabric store I'll see if I can find one suitable for adapting. Strong velcro would be fine to attach to the helmet I reckon. You'd have to glue it to the helmet though, but I don't care on mine as it's only plain old white.

What can I stick on my bike to make it look like a Harley?

Paint it black, longer forks, a few transfers, change the seat, and for a final touch of authentisity add some tassles, :done:

I've heard that glue can compromise the safety of a helmet. Not sure on that though, but worth checking out first.

OK, the US site I posted a link to before wanted $25US for posting for two sets of ears. So I found this site (http://www.motorcyclegifts.co.uk/acatalog/Helmet_Fun_Mohicans_Helmet_Ears.html) They have items for 7GBP - but guess what - that includes all shipping costs! Have ordered two, will let you know a) if they ever get here and b) how they work.

One of the kids wants a mohawk for his helmet. Told him that is fine as long as he has the money to pay for the helmet.

Oh, and a set of skull number-plate bolts, definitely add a touch of Harley tough authenticity....nobody will be able to tell you aren't actually on one if you follow Nighthawk and my advice...:2thumbsup

But the piece-de-resistance would be a skull-mask...
