SPOT!!! The best dog name in the world!

Just kidding mate, I have been told though to make sure there is an O in a dogs name as it's the easiest letter and sound for them to recognize. Dunno if it works though as my dog Spot ignores me half the time.

"im just going to pick up some dog food for the nigger"

"nigger its excersize time"

"house training nigger is proving to be difficult"

oh the fun you can have.

Just remember you will have to call the dog repeatedly, therefore single syllable names are best - Spike, Spiv, Tip, Boss, Dog, Munt...

I call one of my dogs "Monkey Boy" as a nickname.

I once took him to the local Dairy, tied him up and told him "Stay.. Monkey!"

The Asian shoopkeeper overheard and was very confused..
"You just called him Monkey? .... You know he IS a dog, not a monkey??"

I couldn't be arsed to explain and just thanked him for his insight.

Just think of the confusion you can cause if you give him the name of a different animal

Hi

I have a min pin and god they are cute! She is a girl so no point sharing her name but her partner in crime is called Oska - this tends to work well as you can elongate the O sounds. Also just got rid of 4 puppies ourselves (god they are cute) and they are being called Morris, Benny, Jack and Mindy.

Your guy looks very cute, lots of warm fluffys from me!

My two dogs are Kodi and Brock, different syllables makes it easier when you have two dogs. They certainly know which one I am calling.

IMHO you need your pup around a week or so before a name springs to mind.

Hmmmm. Min Pin = small german. Fritz? Hans (Han Solo - yurrm!!)? Jaegar (hunter)?Otto? Wolfgang? Mozart?

Friends of my parents had two bassets called Johanne and Sebastian, cos they barked . . .

we had a dog named toss once, he was a lunatic...

we've had a khess (kess) she was a sweet dog who started going blind, deaf arthritic etc but we couldn't bring ourselves to put her down, we know it must've been awful for her, but we couldn't do it, then she fell asleep in the sun infront of a ute picking up a few sheep (we had a 2 acre plot that was unsafe to build on) she use to be a sheep dog and had been watching the sheep, I like to think she fell asleep in the sun dreaming of the sheep, didnt hear it start up, didnt even yelp, no blood.

morbid off!

our current dog is Meg, she's the awesomest dog ever.

Connor, Higgins, Kerry, Snoopy, Jedah, Yogi-bear, Yenna....... outta ideas.
I had a couple of ones I liked and tried each one on the puppy for a few hours, He really responded to one but not the other - so I let him have it.

Why has no-one suggested: Dog. It's classic, simple, and descriptive - also won't confuse asians at the dairy. :)

When I was registering on KB, I had to think of a login name so I looked at my dog (Finn) and thought that'll fucken do.

Week 2 without him and it sucks bigtime. His bed is untouched and I keep finding hidden chewy bones around the house. I've tried putting a collar on my lady but it's just not the same.

I'll have you know my name is nothing to do with anything "doggie".... well - with one obvious exception.

As for a name "Deefa" (Deefa Dog... say it out loud)

SPOT!!! The best dog name in the world!

That's the name for tigers and zebras...

Dogs react strongly to high pitches so Is and Ys are good vowels (is that the right term for these letters?) to chuck in there. Oh, and don't make the name too long - two syllables is usually ideal.

Out old labrador we called Indy, he was a good dog!
