Just come back from seeing some really nice looking bikes at the show with my son.
This is the first time he has shown interest in going to a show like this and it was great that we could leave the wife at home and spend bloke time together.
Did anyone else go to the show and what did they think about it!

The Honda girls were hoooooooooooooooooooooooooot! Brand spanking R6 for $103 a week, no deposit.... very tempting.
Had a good yarn with the guys at the NZ Streetfighter stand - and looked over their bikes on display.
Saw the FMX show. 4 riders stunting and doing jumps. Jump would have been 20m long and guys were getting maybe 30ft of air. The grand finale jump was a back flip. I was pretty shocked to see one rider not wearing gloves or body armour just a t-shirt, helmet and pants and boots. Considering the height and speed these guys were going (and on concrete, not dirt).
Still, that's NZ for you. At last year's BBToys the NZ Army did a demo in one of the 8 wheeler tank thingees with a big cannon on top and just about rolled it in an over zealous turn in front of the crowd. When the 8 wheel landed back on its wheels it started fish tailing and came close to the centre of the arena where the tents were and Red Cross ambulance. OSH still has a bit of catching up to do!
Anyway, worth a squiz if you're in town.

Is it just me getting older, or are these girls younger than they were a few years back??

It wasn't bad, I enjoyed seeing the '08 models.. was surprised that there was no '08 GPX 250, I guess we really aren't getting them over here?
And yes, those cat suits. Holy smokes.

You probably don't know, but we had the displeasure of meeting on the road after Big Boys Toys. Next time you feel like undertaking me before a roundabout, then getting your knee down on a 10 degree angle while over taking on a blind corner past my mates, make sure you can get away, fast. If you had done a u-turn in a non-retarded area of road, I would have done one with you and smacked the helmet right off your head you ignorant piece of shit.

Having you crawl up my right exhaust, before fanging off like a fucking moron, overtaking across double yellow lines into oncoming traffic, has reduced my respect for you into quite possibly negative figures.
For fucks sake, I am always the one to give ANYONE benefit of the doubt - after watching you try to become a fucking hood ornament and act like the cock most have accused you of being, I am afraid I don't think I will ever be able to apply that to you again.
I am sick to death of hearing you waffle on about those riders who have moved on to 2 wheeled utopia, and how it has made you a better rider, how you are so changed and such a good boy.
You are a lying cunt.
You will never change, and I for one will not bother to stop and even piss on your twitching carcass.
Idiots like you make me feel sick that one day someone is going to have to either scrape up your worthless hide, or worse try and help someone you have injured through your utter lack of contempt for safety and common sense.

Well, it was very good bike pr0n to  over. I was kinda sad there was a surfeit of hot asian chicks peddling sponsor's wares! Meh, just me :msn-wink:
Really enjoyed the NZ army show, but then again, I love heavy metal armour and flash-banks and blanks firing off (our taxpayer's dollars at work!)
The stunting was really good to watch, plenty of stoppies, tank wheelies, etc. and when the fella lost it on the trail, it got the biggest reaction from the crowd
Donor did his sweet magic and chatted and eyed up all the booth babes with his inestimable charm. He was adding to his pr0nographic memory and scoring free stuff to boot (caps all around anybody?)
And oh yeah, bikes. Lotsa luveerly bikes  We must have gone back and spent 85% of our time in that section alone. I think it was Donor's fascination for young, nubile females wearing fetching garments that only serve to accentuate and highlight the design features that gave males pause for thought ... and memories for those lonely moments ... :innocent:
.....
Regarding the incident with Skiddy, I was leading up front from a longish Tiki tour around the greater part of Auckland. When I saw him riding on the oppo side of the roundabout, I did give him a wave and thought to myself "nice to see him out riding.. got his licence back already?"
next thought...
"I hope he won't be doing anything stupid and cut up the little group we got going..."
Anyhow, going along monument road, eventually he overtakes and gives me his cheesy grin and waves a gesture to me as he blats off uphill.
I was thinking "shizen, hope he didn't do anything too knuckle-headed to the rest of the guys"
zeocen was up front by this stage and I didn't see anything by that stage. Saw ol'skiddy turning around to go back the way he came...
Skidmark, lad, you are a young lad and a nice enough chap, hormones and youthful vigor and all ... but :Playnice: I hardly have a bad word to say about anyone, but hearing stuff like this ... I'd have to cuff you over the ear and say "bad boy. Bad boy and don't do that again."
Okay, deep breath and ....... :calm:

Was at BBT 07 today. It was a glorious day, difficult to choose between a day
riding around or a day looking at the latest and greatest, but the latest and greatest won. Too many decent new bikes to choose from, and as for the stunt rider thought he did an awesome job!

went up to Auckland on Thursday, straight after my uni exams in Palmerston North.what a fricken great ride brilliant weather ,made the mistake of parking my brand new hornet outside the backpackers in downtown auckland where i caught some dork trying to saddle the hornet.:Oi: but no damage.best parts for me where outside the entry hut where everyone parked their bikes OMG how do some of these guys afford these exotic bikes :bleh: had a good yarn to a few others (man i got to get one of those KB T-Shirt's) could have dribbled out their all day haha.I think i might take back the hornet and get a B-King lol .good to see a few other Hornets out their wish i could've caught up with their owners.
PS. Who own's the gsf600 bandit that was advertised for sale 4 $6000 outside the Big Boys Toys on Saturday? as the missus is very interested :niceone:

It's fu*k wits like yourself skidmark that make other riders have a bad time and get hurt, you might think its cool you can get your knee down and under/over take other rider's on blind corners but don't expect me to every help you out if you ever need it, infact I would just keep on riding right pass you.
Now on another note, I enjoyed big boys toys, it was fun, alittle to many people for my liking but had fun with the guys :)

my take on BBT's..
meh. wasn't as good as last year, which wasn't as good as the year before.. it's going down hill pretty quick imho. I'll go in a couple of years time when it's just a big tent in the main arena.
1 super car (lambo) and 2 astons, bunch of regular cars I'm bored of now, and some pretty sexy hot rods, then a bunch of bikes you can see by cruising down Barry's Point Road on any given day, mixed with a large outlet of Dick Smith, and it's stuff I've seen before. I want to be wowed again! The only jaw dropping was something I can't mention, cos I'll get kick in the nuts repeatedly, so you all know what that must be. The only thing that did get my undivided attention was that Carva (?) bike/car which I've seen the concept of before, but not like that. That was impressive. So yeah, that, an the chicks (oww)
looks like we have a new 'JSG' too.. Skidmark, you're a dick. no one likes a dick. listen up, pull your ego out of your ass, and wise up. before you kill yourself and possibly others.
anyway, some pics. This is for you Quasi.. I've got a couple, this was the best, and it's still big size if you want it.

I enjoyed the show a lot - seemed easier to get around this year.
The Motorcycle show was (of course) as welcome addition and was one of my fav. bits.
I think that the VANS skateboard inclusion was a bit stupid. Its BIG boys toys - Not "pimply faced skateboarding fucktards with no disposable income to buy anything show"
My young son was hit by one of them skateboarding thru the crowd. :tugger:
I found the service in the Motorcycle show interesting. The HD stand had great service and staff came up and helped - same with the Suzuki and Kawasaki (and probably others) displays.
Go to Yamaha and despite hanging around for ages was never approached by a staff member. Same as their showrooms - I went to the Albany dealer 3 times as as serious buyer and never once had a staff member approach me.
OH and now my 10yo wants a KTM quad-bike to take to school and for fun in the close - (yeah like I can afford that)

You were doing well until you mentioned *555. You'd have more of a chance calling the Physic Hotline.

You and your mate must be twins, could have sworn when he looked at me at the roundabout, it was a splitting image of you.

If you, I mean, he wanted to be safe, perhaps he should learn how to ride on the road, or keep yo.. I mean, his retarded antics for the track (which I've heard you're dodgy on there too).
