Would you take the new model if you can get one, or do you prefer the old style?

Excellent choice by the way. I loved my old style sv650s (http://www.kiwibiker.co.nz/gallery/thumbnails.php?album=39).

well, i haven't seen in real life the old SV's. So I am thinking of the newer shape one, so yes I'll be keen on the newer shape... can't wait to get my full license next month so I can go for a test ride...

was your old SV650S good or bad on tires btw?

tkns

The new SV650S shouldnt be too bad on tyres, its got 71 hp at the rear wheel has similar performace too a 400 inline four (just a little bit quicker....) Quite good with the rear tyre being a 160 rather than a 180 means its cheaper..... Enigine is supposed to run out of puff towards the top end (power curve and torque curve drop off after 8-9 grand)

tkns. eventually I might have to do something about that power / torque drop off... as long as its not the cams it should be easy to sort right? e.g pipes / breathing or ECU.

yea part of the reason on choosing the SV was that it runs on 160 rears as well :P (call me cheap) but still a VTwin.

has anyone had dealings with Whitelock Suzuki? in Wanganui
