Met up with a mate in Chch who has owned this 1980 CB900F2 since 1981! Genuine 24000km. Thought the side by side pics were interesting to compare the changes. Rode from Chch to Kaikoura, stayed the night  then he headed back while I carried onto Wellington to end my 2500km round SI ride. The Hornet took 9 litres of fuel, the F2 took 12 Chch to Kaikoura - fuel injection does help (plus his carbies were leaking gas every now and then . . .)
And couldn't resist adding a couple of pics from the trip. Awesome ride!!!! :2thumbsup

Living the dream. Nice work.

Love those bikes. I test rode a 900 Hornet after I got my full license this year, was very cool (just needed to know what a big bike felt like). Can imagine it was the snizzel over that trip. :2thumbsup
