Was not sure where to ask this question, so here it is!
Is it possible for the site admin to review the home page from time to time, and clear out some of the stuff that is no longer relevant? We currently have events that have long since finished etc...........thank you in advance.

LOL..........yepper, and it hardly changes, it is a fantastic way to promote events happening/KB stuff, and other important things......I think it is neglected, as it is the first thing that anyone new visiting the site sees, and obviously some of us members, I wonder if the content can be reviewed a bit more regularly is all.

Maybe they could set up an I.Q test to get in.

Dont mean to be rude, but dont you think a pm to a senior mod would have been way more effective?

More members should request to have their events put on the homepage.

If there is a cleanup of the homepage, can someone please have a cleanup of forum "stickys"?
Some are well beyond their use-by date and no longer relevant.

Some are well beyond their use-by date and no longer relevant. These are reviewed on a regular basis. Some may not be used regularly, but are required.

Even for events that have happened, some a while ago?
I can see three in GBR that could be "unstuck" and let to survive on their own merits.
Site Stuff has to take the prize though. I always wonder where the stickys end and new threads begin. Usually this is about half way down the page.

At the end of the day most of the events on the calendar would be ok on the homepage to give a bit more expossure...

Well, seeing as there's a thread about it and all, can we have Uncle B's seat ride put on the home page for all those who've missed the thread (as I started it in Rant and Rave ages ago when I was just sounding out ideas). Please and thank you!!! Details are in the calendar entry for Dec 1st.

Just FYI. Posts of the homepage are the first post in a thread and they must be well layed out with the basic info for the event. They must also pass the Hitcher test for spelling and grammer.

Not that I know sweet FA about this stuff, but isn't it time the home page lost events dating back to Sept.
So who stole the broom, n mop. Spring cleaning is due.:dodge:

And you'll only end up wirh older events on the homepage. Items stay so new members can see what they have missed out on. Old items will be pushed down by new ones.

So why not delete the entire message datebase and trash the calendar?
Voila!
Keep the tidy up brigade happy, and the post count chasers something to REALLY bitch about...
In fact, you could restrict access to the messages, unpaid members can only see what is posted THAT DAY, at midnight they lose it all... mwahaha!
Stump up the pony, and they get full uninterrupted access to the only drivel that is one step above Shorty that we have all come to love and know and bathe in called KB Street!
...goddamit, I want a job in KB marketing... JONI! HIRE ME AS P.A.!!!
