The front peg hangers on a ZXR are cast alloy which have cracked.
Is this something that can be repaired successfully by welding?
The cracks are clean, and the area of the face is about 10 x 20mm.
Failing that, does anyone have a pair of hangers?

hey... they can be welded... but its not perfect, one of mine broke (ok I broke it when I crashed... bleh!) and Jono (affman) had a mate weld it for me, but it didn't end up working because it was still bent and warped from the crashed... but yeah...
You'll be looking at about $147 new from Kawasaki (call Mt Eden Motorcycles for that) or you could try a few wreckers (approx $90)
good luck

They're pretty crappy evidently, your the sixth person who I've heard broke one . They can be welded, but they're made of a pretty crappy alloy (hence why they crack to begin with), so personally I'd either recommend getting a new one or getting one made somewhere.

Thanks guys.
I have had them welded by cycleworks.
We'll see how long they last.
btw there are some on yahoo japan for about USD$10 each side, of course that is NZD$50 by the time they get here.
