The Sand? ........................
I helped Boomer push his bike out of the kitty-litter when he dropped it from travelling through it at really low speed.. the trick is to keep the throttle pinned till you make it back onto the track.. or the barrier :p

A dopy question I know, but is the day for cars too or just bikes?

Yep, it's for cars and bikes. They have different sessions for each, and then rotate throughout the day in the same order.

normally they run 4 (as long as the numbers don't go over a comfortable size), usually something like saloon racers, open-wheelers, street cars, bikes, then back to the start, and around 15 mins per session. If one group is too big, then it'll be split into fast/slow

I just noticed this on the counties racing website (http://www.pukekohepark.co.nz/modules.php?name=Calendar)
Controlled testing THIS Friday (19th) and next Friday (26th) are NO DRIFTERS open days. That'd be sweet, more track time and no dust/mud on the track.
Shame I can't go this Friday.

Last time that I went for a 'no drifters' open day, I think we bikes only got 3 full sessions and one that was about 4 laps. That was a pretty shit day. Maybe it was 'cos it was before the V8 races though, so they stiffed us a bit.
Best bet would be the Kiwitrackdays one this Sunday (21st). Steve or whatever his name is ran the ones at Taupo real slick, and we all got tonnes of track time.
