I heard a comment on Kerre Woodham tonight about how broken-arsed most of the marchers were.

Bad teeth, overweight, having to use walking sticks etc

The person reckoned it looked like a march to Lourdes!! (sp) mwahahahaha!

Yeah I have been following this quite a bit, and it is blimmin' scary. Read this...Article
(http://www.stuff.co.nz/4272184a10.html) it talks all about everything that went down.

Quotes from bugs (http://www.stuff.co.nz/4272185a25364.html) that were put in various different cars, houses etc.

Some quotes for those who don't click the link
Suspect tells another it would be good to kill Pakeha to get trainees used to killing. Also suggests making their own tracer ammunition and using tungsten projectiles to go through a "cop vest" and through "his f...... mate".
Bug in vehicle, recorded April 6, 2007.

"Get someone to assassinate the prime minister, the new one, next year's one. Just been in office five days, bang ... Yeah. John Key ... just drop a bomb ... Just wait till he visits somewhere and just blow them ... They won't even find you."
Two suspects in bugged vehicle, August 17, 2007.

It amazes me that they wouldn't release this information, and that with this information they still went on their hikoi. Hiding their faces, and hating the white people. grrrrrr

As for making a counter protest. If a protest is stupid enough, making a counter protest would be even more stupid. I think almost everyone already see it for what it is...

I was thinking about this last night... I was pretty pissed off at the shit I was seeing and hearing - then I thought - christ, these guys are for real - it was like watching some amazonian lost tribe encountering a TV crew or something..

Seriously, perhaps these clowns are like from a lost world or something - they genuinely believe they have a real grievance and that 'we' owe them.. They simply have no idea how the world works... Some of the shit they so is so childlike its a bit scary.

Our problem is - we can't believe these places and people even exist in a modern country.

Well it seems Hulens little social engineering experiment on the Maori's has backfired somewhat. But will NZers learn from this? Probably not.

While these good for nothing monkeys don't represent the general Maori population, it's still a major embarrassment for NZ... and Maori people.

Question: So how can an assassination of the leader of the opposition not be an act of terrorism?

Beemer
15th November 2007, 10:51
If they didn't want people to think they were terrorists, why did many of them dress in camouflage clothing and wear Palestinian-style headwear (think tea towels)? As for the salutes... give me a break!

They went through Levin the other day and by all accounts they were looked at with contempt. As for their actions while in Palmerston North - if it LOOKS like a terrorist, SMELLS like a terrorist and ACTS like a terrorist, then in my books it IS a bloody terrorist. Or pure scum, haven't made up my mind yet.

Actually, it an uber fearsome wooden club (can't remember the name of them)...

From Wikipedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Patu):

A patu is a short-handled Māori club made of bone, stone or wood.

There are three types of patu: mere, meremere, and kotiate.

The word Patu is also commonly used in New Zealand, primarily by young Maori, to describe something which is broken, or substandard.

So how can an assassination of the leader of the opposition not be an act of terrorism?

Because the publication of those transcripts were used out of context by the Dominion Post, giving the perception of a serious intention to cause harm to the leader of the opposition.

When the Solicitor General reviewed all the applicable evidence, in context, he evidently came to the conclusion that there was not enough proof of intention.

Anyway, I am disgusting by those monkeys.

True, I'm sure you could pull quotes off KB that spliced together in the right way would look like a good justification to raid SpankMe's house...but the published evidence was only from the affidavit to the court to obtain search warrants, we haven't been told what those searches actually found.

sorry to cut and paste, but.....

If this material had been revealed in court, the defence could have properly tested it and cross-examined the witnesses. That right has now been denied to them, as they cannot respond for fear of prejudicing their case on the remaining charges. The effect will be to establish "facts" in the public mind (and thus of potential jurors) which have not been properly tested - "facts" which are highly contentious and could have a significant bearing in a case which is ultimately about the purpose for which firearms were being used (http://norightturn.blogspot.com/2007/10/unlawful-posession.html). It’s all the worse when you consider that in an effort to avoid prosecution, the Dominion-Post has anonymised the evidence. While on the one hand this seems to avoid some of the worst features of trial by media, the net effect is to lose any distinction between the accused, and tar them all with the same brush. According to Campbell Live, the number of people recorded making dangerous and violent statements was five - but now all seventeen defendants get to be smeared with the extremist views of Jamie Lockett (http://www.nzherald.co.nz/category/story.cfm?c_id=30&objectid=10470129).

So no problems with the metal detectors when they finally enter the 21st century then?

True, but I think people might start getting an idea about what's going to happen as they fire up the haka.

Besides - these days the door to the cockpits are locked and they'd need a rather solid log in order to batter it open. As such I rate the likelyhood of anyone capturing a plane with a patus rather slight.

Obivously those searches revealed nothing compeling enough to validate any of the charges under the new Terrorism act.

Step back for a minute and look at all of the responses to this thread, then consider the feelings and thoughts of the general population.

What does it make you feel?

What does it make you think?

I believe, your feelings become your thoughts and your thoughts become your words and your words become your actions.

Now consider this, who in the political spectrum would most benefit from my actions?

They'll support anyone that will show sympathy to their cause, they're attention whores with no purpose.

They've acheived nothing except to enforce the existing general populations opinion, wasted a shit load of gas travelling down there, and quite a few I presume, have the worst chaffering imaginable.

I'm with ya.. we've got such a great country and we should be working together.. it's ironic because that's exactly what the 'real' Treaty of Waitangi is all about.. "the United Chiefs and tribes and all the people of New Zealand".. and funny it makes no mention of seabeds.. and forests that did'nt exist in 1840. When I say 'real' I'm reffering to the true final draft of 4/2/1840 and the subsequent translation into Maori that was actually signed!! not the notes and rough drafts of 2/2/1840, 3/2/1840. The final draft is also known as the 'Littlewood treaty' as it was in the hands of the Littlewood family for 150 years. A very interesting site.. http://www.celticnz.co.nz/

PS.. by signing the 'treaty' Moari gave their sovereignty to the crown of England.. now by flying a flag and claiming they don't recognise the crown.. would that be treason?

Which is what I am meaning. How many Maori in NZ???? 200 - 300 show up for the spiiting contest in Wellington..... a huge minority of that Maori population. The silent majority could protest against these idjits and not be called racist.

That is what a protest against them should also do... look upon these idjits with utter contempt and treat them the same....

When the Solicitor General reviewed all the applicable evidence, in context, he evidently came to the conclusion that there was not enough proof of intention.

No.. The CT Act itself was unworkable and a prosecution could not result..... He praised the Police concerns and response and from the evidence he saw, he had concerns too.

Those rounded up are facing firearms charges under the Arms Act only now as a result. The warrants were obtained under the Arms Act as well as other acts.

we haven't been told what those searches actually found.

You were lucky to get what has been presented so far. As a result, the charges may not get off the ground due to trial by media (although that doesn't stop the media from trashing the Police at every opportunity... some good press for a change is a blessing).

...and the solicitor general was quite clear in blaming the act for that state or affairs, and not the police or the evidence they presented.

Sure did. He was "seriously concerned" over what he saw.

Nope. Think they looked at it, but stuck to simple wilful damage only, Summary Offences Act, minor rats and mice charge.

A few years ago I was in a jetboat race on the Whakatane river.. My mum (born in Scotland) lived in Rhodesia and South Africa until she was 16 years old. She had to leave when Ian Smith basically handed power over to the Africans. Mum said 5 years ago that NZ will end up going the same way as Rhodesia. Men with guns running around and turning a peaceful, beautiful country into a war zone, with little or no resistance to their actions. And recently mentioned that this is where it starts. I don't know about you guys but I also happen to agree. I've never been so glad to be a Brit ( kinda don't know what else to say I am - Scottish blood/ English born). I really don't see NZ doing anything to prevent this division that has been growing for years. And what's worse is that I can see NZ's government "giving in" and "handing NZ back". Maybe it's about time that our politicians looked back in history and learned something from other countries mistakes.

Don't get me wrong - understand that the Maori's feel they got a raw deal, but they have to stop expecting reparations for it. What was done, has been done. What they get now in the ways of special treatment is wrong. Most of us would probably like to give back everything that we did wrong. And in return most of us would like to take back the things that we brought to this country - including things like colds etc. But it would be impossible to do. And people who use the almost catchphrase of "Give us back our muskets & blankets and we'll give you back the land" Or "We'll give you back your land but we'll take back our hospitals, WINZ etc" need to let it go. We CAN'T. We can't undo what happened, we can't make reparations for what happened, and we can't make a deal that allows for inflation to make it right. As a country we need to GET OVER IT.

Anyway rave over. I just get so pissed off with people who only look at it from one side. We tell the world "One nation, one land, one people" but we love nothing more than separating into pakeha/maori/import(like me - Britain's finest :niceone:).

Police "Terror" Evidence Online

I heard that an organisation calling themselves NZ Civil Liberties Union has posted an online copy of the 155 page Police file on the “terror” suspects as a pdf.
