Well just read in paper this morning that Henry and Co are pointing all the blame on the British Referee, on the fact they did not win the World Cup.
Obvously the counselling sessions did not work.
I mean if they were that good they would have been so far ahead that any disputed decisions would not have made any difference.
I mean did the Kiwi's react he same way after losing 3-0 to in the League.."No"
What a pack of tossers..get on with life.

Yep, fair call on that. I agree 100%

Totally agree....the ABs were beaten on the day by a team that wanted it more and displayed a better game plan.

One does not usually expect such disparities during World Cup quarter-finals in any team sport.
One does, in fact, expect that teams will often be closely enough matched for a referee's decisions to tip the scales between a win and a loss.

the ref was horrendous and should never have been in control of a RWC quarter final

Utter bollocks. If you want to take the celebrated forward pass for example, go back and watch the video. From the Ref's position on the pitch there are other players between him and the ball so he would only be guessing, if anyone should have called that infrigement it was the touch judge.
What am I saying? Sorry, as you were! This is New Zealand, land of no personal responsibility. It's always someone else's fault. :baby:

If the ref had ruled the forward pass and the ABs won I doubt anyone would be saying the French were ripped off and deserved to win. I also doubt the ref would be getting so much flak either.
I mean if they were that good they would have been so far ahead that any disputed decisions would not have made any difference.
No team at any level should have to play a 60/40 game to compensate for ref inadequacies. Bring on video refs and voting from couches I say!!!

wow - you aint got a chip on your shoulder you got the whole fekkin forest!
he did a poor job controlling/running that game, hence he shoudln't have ever been in that position. He had done something like 6 tests EVER and had only been refereeing internationally for about 10 months at the time he did that game....whoever selected him was/is a womble
now, can you tell me where I mentioned anything was anybody's fault?

Henry's in denial. He cocked up and his arrogance is getting in the way of what everybody else knows. He'd look a lot better if just acknowledged that he did his best, aplogised for his failed rotation policy and resigned and then disapeared into oblivion.

holy crap rugby still makes it into the newspaper these day.
Aren't there cats out there that need to be rescued from trees, or anti-living bills being past through govt.?
Gotta love NEWSpapers that state the obvious

Blame the ref is too easy,as said he may have been obstructed by players, the touchies aren't going to help as they're egos wouldn't allow it,i.e if the ref stuffs up they have chance to do a final(never saw the ref again).
When the team goes onto the field they have a plan, the coaches job is too ensure several plans should they be needed,we went in with one plan, also at the end the ref had his arm out for nz advantage so McAlister took his long range drop kick, knowing it was a snap shot as he would get the penalty closer to the French line, didn't happen,we lost.
Can you blame the coach if the team loses,no it's the players fault, can you blame him for the policies used and didn't succeed, yes,as stated he (Henry)has never admitted the policies used had failed and to me that is gross arrogance by the man, also he will be mid 60's at next cup,is this too old?

Does not look good for the next RWC then if they are making excuses like this still and not taking it on the chin and getting on and doing something about it. I was not overly interested in it this year, next one, not a chance.

G. Henry's contract has not been renewed as of a few minutes ago.
Well that was a huge surprise, wasn't it??!
Naturally, he was "very satisfied" with his "constructive discussion" with the powers that be.
Sounds like a euphemism for a bit of the old argy bargy if you ask me. :girlfight:

Whining ABs
So just so I get this straight, you've started a thread to whine about the AB's whining....?
Well I'm just not happy about that, and I am off to go and find someone else to blame!
