The two quaterwave sections must transform the antenna impedance of 2 times 50 ohm in parallel - or 25 ohm - into 100 ohm, so when paralleled in the middle a 50 ohm impedance is again established.
The correct transmissionline impedance is the square root 25*100 or 50.0 ohm. Diameter of center conductor can be calculated to 10.33 mm. A standard 10 mm cobbertubing is chosen.

It (Vesuvius) erupted in 472 AD. But you could've worked that out yourself, by goooogling "erupted in 472".
It was (sorta) obvious - the foreground is Roman, the volcano looks active(ish) and Vesuvius is very much associated with Rome and whatnot.

Something from Cagiva. Don't ask me why it's called this -- it's only 125cc -- I thought it was a typo but it's a very persistent typo in that case.

Familiarise yourself with the site's netiquette rules. There are size restrictions on embedded image files. I was infracted the other evening for such a breach. You appear to have struck Mr Cajun on a good day...

why do the mods keep changing the embedded images to links?
Due to they do not fit in the 640x480 or 480x640 pixel size limit for embedded images, larger images can be posted but as attachments http://www.kiwibiker.co.nz/forums/showpost.php?p=1294370&postcount=1
