Today i was taking the kids up to the MX and coming up to a corner coming the other way some dick wad came flyin around the corner on a bike right in my lane.
he was to hot into the corner ran wide and almost ate my bull bars.
i swerved into the bank on side of road so i would'nt smoke him and then the arse stopped looked back then took off.
hope you reading this mate because i got your number so expect a visit.
scared the shit out of my kids they still talking about it.
then on way home alot of traffic got caught behind a tractor and these 2 dicks on bikes just went flying out to pass on a blind corner, car comes other way and had to hit the picks, the line i was in braked hard just so these 2 could live to ride another day.
i bet all the cars in that incident would've thought "fucken bikers "
i know we always go on about non motorcylists being the cause of most accidents but today it could've been 2 accidents both caused from idiots on bikes.
Rant over.

agree to a point.
my two boys love motorcyclists but after today the oldest was saying to me "dad why do they ride like that, dont they care if they crash into anyone or hurt themselves"and he also asked why the rider didn't come to see if we were ok since we went onto the bank"

Actually I did my bit the other day for driver/rider relations. I took TSS's demo Tuono for a blast up Normandale/Maungaraki. I think someone called it a hooligan bike. There is no better description. I broke more laws in that 20 minutes than I do on a normal commute to work!

not sure if the guy in my lane was local.
was not far from home and i've never seen that bike around here before.
was a trumpy.
im sure he shat his pants , and i reckon thats why he didn't come see if we were sweet, luckily we didn't hit hard and bars took all the brunt.

Must admit that since I've been caged, I've noticed a fair bit of retarded riding behaviour. Although I see much more from cagers up these ways that many other parts of the country. I also wonder sometimes how these individuals got hold of a licience.

Shame, but you get wankers in all genres. I nearly had a big punch up at Lyall bay once thanks to a couple of self described "surf Nazis"
The thing is the guys on bikes you saw today are probably bragging about their heroics right now. Floggers.

With feeling and not without reason. Having said that I've screwed up and gotten away with it, as have we all.

Nope. We are to blame for the majority of our accidents. Other road users causing it is a myth. Single vehicle accident stats for motorcyclists are horrendous.

While one person doing that will not change opninans, we need to be pro active. Letting cars into the traffic flow, a nice wave to cops, kids smiles when the helmet is off.
I have found that in my short time of riding the local milk tanker drivers know my bike, and let me past as i let them into the traffic flow

Dick wad is such a wonderful expression sometimes, it is not one I have in my vocabulary, I found out I had something much worse than that once.........LOL
Yepper bikers are human, and make mistakes, they are dicks too, I came close to cleaning one up not so long ago, and I knew where he was, right in front of me! He still opted to turn left, from the far right of the lane and while indicating he was turning right! I went to his left as he was slowing down and indicating, at the last moment he shot right in front of me! Scared the shit out of me, bet he never ever realised, it was so close i never got my hand to the horn!
This in a 50kph area, thank God, if it had been any faster I would have driven over top of him, i am sure it would have been my fault too as I drive a cage!

Hardly surprising how many car drivers are pretty anti biker when shit like this happens. All of my workmates hate motorbikes and think they're pests - thinking like this is why we don't get offered as much courtesy as we'd like. :angry2:

I was the sounding block for some irate motorists near Kawhia over the weekend. Seems a group of sportsbikes carved up a line of traffic doing about 140ish.
The comment from a truckie was sobering.
"You bikers need to pull ya fucking heads in".
He then went on to say..."If I was in the truck, I would of moved wide, and squashed the little fuckers"!
Kanny heard the whole conversation. I bit my tounque, as it wasn't the time/place to get into a argument. (public service station).
Go fast people, but be considerate. :calm:

On Sunday I did my part for cage/sprotsbike/crusier relations.
I stopped in the cage for a broken down Harley! Had to laugh when he said something like "yeah it's a Harley.. you get this sorta shit". :killingme
They had someone on the way with a trailer so off I toddled.
So yeah.. Even if none of the buggers wave back I'll still see if there's anything I can do.

Wasn't me neither, went to Manaia and back to Hawera, longest ride the wife been on the back, she even seemed relaxed, passed a car as well, got up to 110km max, mostly 90-100km.
Met a few cruisers going round the mountain, both directions too.
Some dickwads allright,I tend to forgive the odd minor incident but agree with you yours wasn't,could've been worse, and what with kids in your vehicle, doesn't bear thinking about.
