What fools these mortals be...
The testing officer at VTNZ Takanini, has just handed me my temporary paper licence validating me as a bona fide full time two wheeled enthusiast!
3pm I turn up.
3.05pm Run through bike check
3.08pm Start test proper
3.20pm Finish test
3.25pm I have bit of paper in hand! :woohoo:
So, after one year of riding, 82,000 + km of travel (68 thou on little ol'hornet, 15 thou on Daisy), 4 sets of Diablos, 1 chain and sprockets, 2 drops, 1 off, 2 low sides and a whole swag load of mates from KB ....
What do I think?
I love biking.
Lots.
I really do mean lots.
As for the usual route people follow, I ride in the opposite direction, will keep riding my 250s for a while, and will buy bigger bikes in March/April next year ... hopefully I will have 6 bikes by the end of next year all praked in the gargre! Sprots next to nekkids next to crusier next to motard next to... (you get the idea)
Now, I guess I can go riding after 10pm and before the hours of 6am :devil2: :innocent:
What... you say I did that anyways?
Guess I better buy some more bling for the little ol'hornet now!

Well that was a close call, considering how little practise you've done over the last year. Must have been your lucky day, huh?
But seriously, well done that man. And good on you for sticking with the bike you've got cos it suits you for the time being. :niceone:

Even his helmet matches the bike.
gijoe1313 - congratulations young fella, you did well.:woohoo::woohoo:
So now confess to us....... How much did you have to pay/bribe for the license.
Out in West Auckland you can get a license for $400.
What is the going rate out in the south?:shit::confused:

My mum is trying to sort me out now while shes in China! :eek5: Apparantly, the last time I was there, it got the wheels spinning
and Donor is trying to jack me up with a local missus! :slap: As for kids... none that I know of yet. Nor any patrimony suits so must be okay!
I must buy as many bikes as I can before I suddenly come back to Earth like all the unfortunate male souls here! :sweatdrop
Apparantly, I am far too happy and content in my life and there are hidden powers with agendas to change all that... Must... buy... more.... bikes.....

I keep all my things I buy... the little ol'hornet will be ridden into the hundred thousands of kays ... and when it can ride no more, I will bling it up and have it as a 1:1 scale model in my living space.
I won't have any "I wish I never got rid of it" on my conscience! Daisy/Daphne/Dandi will all stay in the harem as well! And any sprotsbikes I get will get the big spanish archer like any normal bike (and adventure ... and MX ... and... )

Hehe, watch out for my next riding outfits when I get my next bikes ... Kawa green = Boba Fett
Yama yellow = Pikachu (actually...no...only on a toy run)
etc etc
As for the licence, I paid the princely sum of $115 and a goofy smile to the tester! :sweatdrop
Chur $400 for Westies? No wonder they are considered hicks! :msn-wink:

Yes, I was on target for 96000km, but mothers have a way of putting brakes on! I think she wanted me to stop long enough to introduce girls to me ... I told her "if they want to settle down with me, they better be riding alongside!"
Wait, you did the maths on that? No wonder I'm an Englisk teacher! I prefer to ride with the poetry of motorcycling rather than reduce it to numbers  (wait, I did that in my first post!)

Yep, got the race spec 250 LC engine, it'll slot into the RZ frame no probs, but it will be for Daphne first, trackday and racing bike for the near future. Dandi will be the bling girl and be a RZ250 without compare! The chap I met up with has been racing them for the last 18 years, won heaps of races in UK and he'll be helping me get into getting it all set up for racing! :niceone:

Make sure you get a ferry ticket and come to visit the Catlins once you've got your large capacity ride.

Had a feed at the Lone Star and stone the flipp'n crows if'n DMNTD didn't know where it was! Nice photo exhibition down by the waterfront as well.
I was a bit wary of DMNTD and his "new age" ways. But, he convinced me he was as crazy as ever by talking bike stuff ... between him and Unit, the gargre is praked full of sprotsbike! Had a sit on some his bikes, and being the easy bike slut that I am, I love them!

Make that ... no kids, no wife, no mortgage! Work frikk'n hard in your classes and get the kids to self-mark... plus its a good incentive to ensure I have the time to ride by having it all done toot sweet!
But then, as everyone knows, I tend to do things a lot differently to other people! Its always funny when the kids ask
"sir, where did you ride yesterday?"
"Oh, Tauranga/Whangarei/Hamilton/Raglan/etc etc"
"When?"
"Oh, 5.30pm... after I left school"
"???"
"See kids, when you ain't married with kids, no mortgage, you can do as you please ... see how your parents are? Slaving their guts out so they can put your sorry arses in front of me. You better appreciate them, 'cause I appreciate it when I ride away from you lot!"
