Known as "Coca-Cola Christmas in the Park" to the public but to KB its "PISSUP IN DA PARK" This is our 3rd Year running!

Join Qkchk and Qkkid for a bloody hilarious night on the 8th December @ starting from 4pm down at the Auckland Domain. (The big grassy area below the Auckland Museum, silly...)

What is involved:

1. Good Company
2. Good Food BYO
3. Good Weather (preferably hot as this will go well with the main aim)
4. Good Music (Well, some celebrities can sing except for Dick Hubbard)
5. Good Price (The concert is FREE!)

Method: Combine all 5 ingredients in a bowl (The Domain) and spread the mixture out on a manicured lawn. Bake in the afternoon sun till the stars come out and then let the good times roll! (Really!)

Aim: The aim of this exercise is to, well..... have a damn good time. We will be heading down to the Domain approx 4ish, get a good seat (up to the top 1/4) and proceed to eat and have a couple of quiet ones :apint: (BYO) and talk shite about bikes etc.

Me and Qkkid are thinking about taking our bikes this year, so we will be keeping to the alcohol limits etc.....:Police: There is excellent parking right next door to Auckland Hospital at the entrance to the Domain (Park Road).

NOTE: After previous years debacle, it is important to arrive before the show starts, cause we couldnt find some of ya last year! 250,000 other people around makes it impossible! Cellphones dont work well either down there, the lines are far too congested........... as we found out... (Someone txt'd us at 7pm and we did get the txt till after we left - 11pm)

VERY IMPORTANT TO GET THERE EARLY THAN LATE. You wont be disappointed.............................

REGISTER YOUR NAME HERE. (http://www.kiwibiker.co.nz/forums/calendar.php?do=getinfo&e=1459&day=2007-12-8)

THIS EVENT IS WEATHER PERMITTING (Hurricane and horizontal rain....)__________________

Well after alot of thought -

Myself and Qkkid have decided that we WONT be attending tonight - The weather has been dodgey as hell :spudwhat: and I dont fancy getting soaked like last year. Qkkid is out the back in the bush digging holes for a fence, so better not stop a man while he is getting stuff done..........

However, we still have the Symphony in the Park (http://www.aucklandcity.govt.nz/whatson/events/starlight/default.asp)on:

Saturday 23 February 2008
7.30pm - 10.30pm
Auckland Domain
(Rain date Sunday 24 February 2008)
With an appearance from Dame Kiri Te Kanawa

.....So we wont be missing out completely....

Yeah I cant be farked this year.

the rain last year was what made it fun... the music is shite. who wants to hear samoan gospel singers? really?

Our view up top was ruined by the group of 'soufsiders' standing all together. complete with matching knee length white t-shirts... lol

Went to Pissup in the park after few years which I hadn’t been.
Was OK. One thing I noticed is the only had one supper screen instead of the usual two.
They used to have lasers going when they had the fireworks - no such thing now.
Disappointing when the Right hand speaker set stopped working for a minute or two. And finally to finish off is the rain and putting up with screaming kids in front of us, where the father could not give a stuff what the kids where doing. Kids where facing backwards and not at all interested in the show. Almost lost my eye a few times with those light sticks.

Ok rant over....
