Someone on the RGV250 list pointed out that here (http://www.brakes4u.co.uk/products.asp?id=2915) you can get a set of EBC prolite discs for a VJ22 RGV with aluminum centres for 160GBP (we don't pay VAT, although you'll probably pay GST when they come through customs).
That seems quite cheap, it might be worth checking the site for you own bike, perhaps they have yours cheap too.

NZ$770 plus shipping for a pair of front discs for the K2...
Doesn't seem particularly cheap.

Bit of overkill just to get cheap disc, but whatever floats your boat.
