$20.00
Sometimes we just need to be reminded!
A well-known speaker started off his seminar by holding up a $20.00 bill. In the room of 200, he asked, "Who would like this $20 bill?"
Hands started going up.
He said, "I am going to give this $20 to one of you but first, let me do this. He
proceeded to crumple up the $20 dollar bill.
He then asked, "Who
still wants it?"
Still the hands were up in the air.
Well, he replied, "What if I do this?"
And he dropped it on the ground and started to grind it into the floor with his shoe.
He picked it up, now crumpled and dirty.
"Now, who still wants it?"
Still the hands went into the air.
My friends, we have all learned a very valuable lesson.
No matter what I did to the money, you still wanted it because it did not decrease in value.
It was still worth $20.
Many times in our lives, we are dropped, crumpled, and ground into the dirt by the decisions we make and the circumstances that come our way.
We feel as though we are worthless.
But no matter what has happened or what will happen, you will never lose your value.
Dirty or clean, crumpled or finely creased,
you are still priceless to those who DO LOVE you.
The worth of our lives comes not in what we do or who we know,
but by WHO WE ARE and WHOSE WE ARE.
You are special
-
Don't EVER forget it."
Count your blessings, not your problems.
"And remember: amateurs built the ark . professionals built the Titanic.

Cool anyway. Inspired me.

I would never consider Noah as an amatuer....after all did the builders of Titanic talk to God?
The Ark ended up on a Mountain in Turkey, which was referred in the bible as Ararat, whereas Titanic is 12,600 ft under the briney...

Considering that Noah lived in ?Egypt?, well somewhere in Nth Africa I would find it hard to believe that he built his boat in Turkey!

What a crock of shite.... of course a person can be devalued... the only reason the $20 bill holds its value is through external forces. If he said 'And here I devalue the currency by 2000%, who still wants the $20 bill?' you'd see a lot less hands to up... Everyone likes a feel good story, but it helps if they make sense.

The ark survived a world catastrophe . The Titanic succumbed to its own disaster
It's similar to how Linux crash way less often than Microsoft Windows.

I rest my case (http://www.stuff.co.nz/4284780a11.html). The life of Abdirazak Yussuf Mussa has no value, I would gladly pull the trigger.

In fact no, he's in negative value... he should be that girls slave for life from henceforth. Then his life would indeed have some value... as much as she was able to trade/sell him for

The guy kept the $20.
That means he was a liar. At the start of his talk they all thought he was a good guy. So, by becoming a liar he reduced his 'value' as an individual. Which made his entire speech bullshit - so the crowd killed him.

I saw some good old fashioned graffiti the other day. It read:
"The things you need in life to make you happy aren't things"
I thought it was pretty good but my bikes make me pretty happy and contented with life ....
