Avon Storms...

My bike appears destined to not wear Storms.

I ordered a rear on 13/11 and had it booked for fitting today......Yeah Right!!

It seems the tyre was sent to Dunedin (arriving on 15/11) and is the last one in stock. They are still trying to find it and I have an MDA ride (1300-1500Kms) departing 1000 Friday.

I don't know if I deserved this after my ‘Avon Bastards’ Blog of 30/6 ( http://www.kiwibiker.co.nz/forums/blogs/viewblog.php?userid=9500&entry=210 ) or whether I am now justified in what I said at the time........but I feel like saying it again.........Avon Bastards!!

I would like to try some of these Stormy things I've been hearing about, but now I feel I owe some loyalty to Mr Michelin who is baling me out with his PR2's....again!!

Hmmmmmm.....thanks for the warning. I'm shortly due to replace my Storms and our East Cape trip this weekkend will come close to finishing them off. Better watch the throttle for a wee while then!

Mate... what a nightmare. I have to say that it is well worth the wait for these. I am absolutely delighted with mine - both wear and grip wise. Am off to thye Chatto creek Ride tomorrow, so will let you know how the wear aspect goes!

I think the Avon agent here in NZ needs a serious raaak up!

Another oopsie moment today when a PR turned up instead of a PR2, but after considering how a bit of heat was involved in the demise of the sides of the PR2, I decided to go with it......but I'm not sure what it's going to be like to ride with my fingers crossed.

Oh well.....it shouldn't matter too much when I ride like a nana anyway!
