Just coming up on 7,000 and thinking that I could very well do your sort of mileage before I even think like changing. Great to have a bike that fits and you just want to keep on racking up the ks on it...

Hi Bikers, Found this on web-site. Sheila Winnie from Cecil,Ohio with her Gold Wing GL1800 took part in the Iron Butt Ass annual milage contest. Record miles ridden in one year completed 126.137 Miles that is one determined woman rider. So lucky to have the funds AHH' I guess how many times did she travel around the US. I only managed 28000.Kms around NZ weekend rider mainly. Steve K

Bought an Ex MOT R80RT from the auction in 1992 with 40,000km on clock.
Sold it approx 35 tyres later with 200,000km on clock.

Can't see ya pic. Was it pulled?

Candyman up here has a 2005 Honda ST1300 that he has done nearly 80,000km on. I'm waiting for him ta trade it in cause those bikes are good for 200,000km.

As for "Roxanne" (my CBR1000FL), brought her at 30,000miles (50,000km) 3 3/4years ago and now she is on 85,000miles (137,000km). 50,000km (80,000km) was done in the frist 3yrs (been a bit slack this year).

103,000 kms or 200,000 kms is nothing for a well maintained modern motorcycle. I did 259,000 kms on a 1992 Honda CB750 in Australia before selling it to return to NZ. At that time it was burning about 2mm of oil on the dipstick between each oil change and I reckoned it would have been good for 400,000 kms before any major work. I have seen an NZ GL1500 with about 700,000 kms on it. Well maintained, any large motorcycle should outlast its rider. (How long did Burt Munro own and ride that Indian?) Typically the green envy monster gets motorcycle owners and they trade a perfectly good bike for something new that they think is better.
