View Full Version : Will my bike break down today?

All but one of the 4 times i have riden my bike something has gone wrong (the one time it ran perfectly 2 bits flew off).
I'm clearly tempting fate by heading to ngaruawahia today.
Will i make it home on the bike or in a car with a trailer?

Try and be positive. It will look good parked on the side of the road ;).

Of course it will. That's the reason Marvins are no longer available in most of New Zealand. :Pokey:

Where's the "Yes (Spectacularly)" option?
Here's hoping that by the time you read this you're back home after an enjoyable ride with no breakdowns or bits flying/dropping off.
Be positive and think of the adventure. I remember a number of times in my younger years when I was setting out on long rides not knowing if the bike would make it to the destination. That was half the fun.

It's one of them curve thingumies....like if anything is going to go wrong with a machine it will happen in the first 2 months of ownership....then it's all gravy for a few years until bits start to wear. This is why I never buy new (okay, I know...it's coz I'm skint/a tight fisted jock- delete as appropriate)
She'll be right mate.

Listen carefully to the sound of the engine, knackered, knackered, knackered. If you listen hard enough I'm sure you will hear it.
Be very carefull of the shop windows though, a quick glance is all that is needed.....

Where is the poll option for "I should have bought a Honda!".

well... he's not home yet... could mean 2 things... either he's too embarrassed to admit it broke down before he had hit the country, or he's stuck in the country with it broken down.

What she said. The parts you lost were cos you bought it from a Harley shop, they shed stuff all the time. Its probably over that now.

Fairly hard, really?
And here's me thinking that the nice man in the car with the flashing lights just saw how slow you were going, and figured we could do with some of his leftover honey mustard dipping sauce.

No Sir I was not quacking !
Marvin clearly had the K3 straight on to the gas, made about a bike length and then it was about even. :pinch:, much to my displeasure which was not disclosed due to my Grumpiness due to a certian Wayne Kerr!
See you at Taupo on friday for round 2!!!!!!!! :msn-wink:
