NO... not what you were all thinking
Had a nightmare in the 1 hour of sleep this morning... there was an earthquake and my "Ducati Suicide Stand™" flicked up and my bike was on its side
Has anyone ever thought of this?
any remedies besides cutting the top off the bolt? (Ducati Suicide Stand™ owners will know what I'm on about)
Help....
gotta stop getting emails from GeoNet :sweatdrop
oooh.. had another dream... pleece was pulling over every sportbike in the country (at some twisties near taupo, where coincedentally, I arrived back from at 5.30am) and they said my front tyre had a wobble... so they bought me a new pirelli (better than the one on it) and had it delivered and fitted on the side of the road (hallets bay i think).... WTF????
I also invented a new bike, never seen before. 2 of them were pulled over in my dream, but the owners were done tho coz they was pissed  (they put the bikes on their stands and proceeded to fall asleep. On the road!) I took photos, but my DreamCamera™ didnt work when I woke up :eek5: methinks I might have to give up redbull and V and get some real sleep!

Since I'm an obsessive compulsive worry pot, yes, I had thought of the earthquake topple. I reckon the only sure way is to leave your bike on it's side when you put it away. Either that, or leave it on both paddock stands, but it's a hassle to get out. Well, now that I think of it, it's more a case of being a hassle when you put it away.
I got an invite to go out last night, at about 8:30pm. I was in Stokes Valley. So, I drove back home to wgtn cbd, got dressed, drove out to Paraparaumu, stayed out till 3:30, drove back home, and surfed a little net. Finally got to bed at 05:50 Sat morning. Oh yeah, had to wake up at 07:50 for a physio appointment. I am going back to bed after someone comes round to pick up that stuff in my other thread.

Found a dream book in my collection, so thought I'd try to analyse your dream. There's no charge for this one!!
Had a nightmare in the 1 hour of sleep this morning... there was an earthquake and my "Ducati Suicide Stand™" flicked up and my bike was on its side
Dreaming of falling indicates struggles that will culminate in eventual victories.
pleece was pulling over every sportbike in the country
:Police: Police - you will succeed in overcoming rivals, so long as the police do not arrest you. If they do, beware of danger around you.
Bicycle (closest I could come up with for motorbike) - You will soon be facing an important decision. If you ride it downhill, beware of scandals and ill health. If uphill you will soon be facing bright prospects.
they said my front tyre had a wobble.
Couldn't find anything for tyre or wheel (what a crap book, eh?) so went for circle instead - You will accomplish much less than you expect in your business or profession.
so they bought me a new pirelli (better than the one on it) and had it delivered and fitted on the side of the road
Prize (no gift or present listed in the book) - have faith in yourself, for you will overcome all difficulties.
And I know this was not in your dream, but I will add it because of all the many common things they don't have listed, for some reason they do have prunes listed (go figure) - which means you will face many difficulties in your life. I assume they mean the screaming shits???
I also invented a new bike, never seen before .
Sorry nothing for invention - I'll let the rest of the KBrs think up an explanation for this.
2 of them were pulled over in my dream, but the owners were done tho coz they was pissed .
Drunk - financial difficulties and lack of self control.
(they put the bikes on their stands and proceeded to fall asleep. On the road!).
If the sleeping place is not nice, you will soon face sickness and broken engagements. However if you feel the road is a great place to sleep then it indicates peace and favours from those you love.
I took photos, but my DreamCamera™ didnt work when I woke up
To take pictures with one foretells disappointments in a close friend. I assume that because it didn't work it cancels itself out?
So there you go, lots of cheery stuff going on in your psyche!!! :buggerd:

I also have a dream analysis, analysis book
Found a dream book in my collection, so thought I'd try to analyse your dream. There's no charge for this one!!
According to MY book, it says you have a lot of free time on your hands. It suggests a possible reason is that you have been bitten by the KB website bug. It goes on to say that people with such a disposition, are usually slightly crazy, introverted (extroverted with alcohol, or in groups with other KB'ers) and have little life outside of the website. It concludes that trying to fight this reality will leave you feeling lost, with a sense of something missing, knowing that really, what you SHOULD be doing, is sitting on the net earlyish on a sat morning, analysing the dreams of other KB'ers from the night before.
WELCOME to the club   :eyepoke:

Is there any hope for me? Actually I'm procrastinating big time at the moment. What I'm supposed to be doing is studying for an exam on Tuesday and finishing off my case studies, but this is so much more fun!

Changing the angle of the spring would fix it, wouldn't it?

According to my very authorititititative dream book (Oh god here I go again) - the person doing the dreaming will have a serious accident or business difficulties. For a woman, however, this dream denotes the inability to choose between two men, with disagreeable consequences.
WTF? Why is it different for a woman? Aah, just looking at when it was published - 1980.

Do a search on the internet. there are numerous fixes for this. From memory the early 916's had the same stand (as did the 2000/2001 mv f4's). Otherwise ask Wayne at Motomart, he may of done a few already.

I have a Ducati Suicide Stand™ remedy on my bike. You can check it out whenever.
If you look at your stand the top end of the spring attaches to a short straight piece of steel which rests against one of the stand bolts. The Ducati Suicide Stand™ fix is a bent piece of steel that wraps around that bolt. Very simple and I've had no issues since fitting it.
I got mine in the UK, don't know where you could get one in NZ but any engineering shop could probably make one out of a piece of scrap in 5 minutes, and it takes another 5 minutes to fit.

I reckon you are trying to sort a whole load of issues out at once, and your mind is doing overtime, the blue pills sound kind of dodgy, a healthier alternative is taking the duke out for a good blat, I find riding clears my mind of everything except the road , very good for giving the mind a rest from seemingly unsolvable problems

What exam you got on tuesday?? And why you not finished your case studies? Is that for nat cert ??? thought you had done them long ago.
GTN and Glucagon. I procrastinated all day yesterday, evensofar as going out and buying chrome polish and spending a wonderful hour polishing every bit of metal I could reach on my bike. Then I had to go and work at Waikaraka Park, so I didn't get much done at all. Hopefully it will be a Q day today at work so I can get stuff done. Hey how come your name is down in Forum as starting on the 15th? I thought you started ages ago.

Chill.............. out bout the stand man  when I 1st got the Guzzi I was constantly worrying bout the same thing, only cos it was something new and different.
So, forget about it........ and you will find like I did that ya get quite use to it, they are excelant for Le Mans starts at the pub.... its funny watching Suzuki's stalling as they are put into gear, mate I was going to cut the nob of the top of mine but glad I dident as once you get used to it its safer than a normal stand set up.
I did find that after I got used to getting of the bike 1st (cos the Guzzi stand is up frount of the engine block) then putting the stand down that it became 2nd nature

well, erinalba, what does your dream book say it means if you have a dream your dad is taking over the world with corn, and is using clones of people to harvest this corn, and he uses a small blue calculator as a tool for cloning???
:Offtopic: i know...sorry
this is not MY dream of course.......

Oh my God - it means doom and destruction to all nations that like to indulge in nachos.
Actually I'm at work so can't look it up, but somehow I doubt that this dream is covered. It probably means you have FITH syndrome! (something I have in abundance)
