Hamilton police are stunned at a mother of two who was caught drunk and speeding with three unrestrained children in the back of her car.
The 23-year-old is the mother of two of the thee children, who are aged three weeks, two years and 12 years.

Police say she overtook another vehicle on a corner, reaching speeds of almost 150km/hr.

She failed a roadside breath test and was disqualified from driving for 28-days and had her car impounded.

Child Youth and Family has been notified.

Wow 28 days for three offences.... drink driving, unrestrained kids, speeding...

I do hope she looses her kids... that may make her think about what she is doing... but disqualified for 28 days is a slap on the wrist... I have a friend who has lost there kid for less... (but we won't go there...thats another story)

What is going on in the Waka-tu. Seriously though if ya blow over a certain amount then your licence is taken away from you for 28 days. When she goes to court and a verdict is decided ( who knows a good civil aid lawyer, she night get off) and its guilty she will then be sentenced.

I'm all for an "aggravated" drink driving charge when children are risked like that - with more severe penalties and forced alcohol / drug counselling. If you do that you prolly have a problem there. But it seems the helpless aren't seen as victims here. Media shaming is all that happens. Now if they had smacked the kids... ton o' bricks.

Besides that it gives the tree huggers reason to feel violated and after cleaning up, post up there disappointment that another of gods childrens view of the world is so negative.

So if the cops weren't targeting speeders they may never have come into contact with this menace until she wiped out three innocent lives.

Its amazing how often a radar can detect a drunk driver.

Friends of our's parents were shunted off the road & over the bank, by a mother with a 8 month old baby in the car with her, on Sunday at Shag point. She was allegdeny doing at least 130kms when she rear ended them. :gob:
What was with that! some mothers don't need to drink to be idiots:angry2:
