Alrighty, I found a set of brake pads in the shed the other day, left over from when I had the DR-Z250. No use to me, they don't fit anything I've got now. I intended to flog them off on tardme, but looking on the Vesrah website they fit a lot of adventure bikes eg DR650, XL600V (and trail bikes, and enduros, and motocrossers too numerous to list here) so instead I'll offer them up to the "we like it rough and dirty" crew cheap... but there's a catch.

Not only do you have to give me some beer vouchers :apint: but you also have to entertain us with the best sob-story :crybaby: (true or otherwise) explaining why you need to get these pads cheap. Stories involving other KBers will score bonus points.

So here's the deal:

The prize is a brand new set of Vesrah VD-161JL Sintered Metal disc pads, new in original packaging, worth approx. $60.
The price is $28, 'cos that's what it costs to refill 3x riggers of beer at Founders Brewery (http://www.biobrew.co.nz/ourproducts.php) which seems to happen quite a lot.
The winner will be the rider who posts the best tale of woe, as judged by me.
To see a full list of fitments, go to the Vesrah Dirt Brakes (http://catalog.vesrah.co.jp/list/dirt_brake.asp) page and enter the part number 161 into the search box top-right, click Search.

So let's hear 'em!

Woe! Woe is me.
Someone nicked my favorite socket.
I loved that socket, it was more than a tool, it was a work of art. The shineyness, the crinkley bits inside, the fact it had never been used.
Now I hear it's been contaminated with orange!
No longer is it the young, shiney, chromed, innocent little socket I remember.
It's spent time inside the heavy security toolbox with hard core sockets. Their greasy splines leaving marks where ever they touched him.
The guards? Pah! They use him at will, sticking their dirty ratchets up his tender little bottom. Crys of "Now that's tight!" echo through the night.

Ewww. Don't know if I want it back now.
I would rather have the pads :D

Do these tales of woe have to be based in any way on fact?

I have a very fertile imagination.:innocent:

Do these tales of woe have to be based in any way on fact? They have to be entertaining, "true or otherwise" is the call. Evidence of said goings-on will not be sought. :whocares: BUT the further from reality, the better the story needs to be!

Right, you'll have to wait until after the weekend.....three days bashing around the waikato with a bunch of smelly KBers should be a fertile enough ground.
