Just did my restricted test at the bowling club here in Welly and the guy was great. I have to say that as I put my foot down in the u turn - in my defense it was because of a huge gust of wind that hit me right in the middle of the turn.
Thought I had failed the test but he said "they take things into consideration". Also considering the headset didn't work and I got lost I think I got off pretty lightly.
But the reason for this post is that I had read lots of horror storys about the test but it was easy - just around the block, u turn in the car park and then back to the club. No 100km zones, no complaints at intersections, just simple follow me when I am riding. Actually he said I was a bit too cautious (I was behaving!).
So for all of you L platers out there, take heart, it isn't that bad.
