Ok, I am planning a little road trip starting the end of next week, if any one is interested in joining me for any of these sections let me know.
Friday 7th Dec Wellington to Taupo (370k)
Saturday - Honda track day (they let me enter on my Suzuki :whistle:)
Sunday - Suzuki track day
Monday - Taupo to Hamilton via Tauranga (250k)
Tuesday - Hamilton to Coro loop back to Hamilton (405k)
Wednesday - Hamilton to Gisborne (385k)
Thursday - Gisborne to Gisborne (round the East Cape) (471k)
Friday - Gisborne to Wellington (529k)
Saturday = rest
Total = 2410k
Depending on how the body is taking it, I may add a rest day in Hamilton (Wednesday) or Gisborne (Thursday) so the dates would move out one.

Sweet. The Tauranga bit is to get my seat done, hoping to ride there in the morning and ride away in the afternoon with it finished. Does that sound possible?

Been looking at Google maps for ideas. The main focus is the track, coro loop and east cape. The other bits I am not to worried about.

Provided it's booked in and and you've told them about any embroidery so they can pre-arrange it all :bleh:

Don't think I can get away early... will see but if I can I won't know until late.

Monday - Taupo to Hamilton via Tauranga (250k)
Tuesday - Hamilton to Coro loop back to Hamilton (405k)
Hmmm, a weekday coro, funny that, especially since my bike is booked in for a service the day before, and also the fact that I work weekends.... :shifty:
Then again, I did just do one on Saturday. :/

Well I should be at the track, but it's bloody raining :no: so I have some time to type up the trip so far.
On Friday rode up to Feilding to see Chris (http://www.kiwibiker.co.nz/forums/showthread.php?t=60545) and get my suspension set up. Spent a couple of hours sorting it and chatting about all things bikes. Got some excellent advice and the bike feels much better up front. More feel on the road and a little more confident round corners.
Saturday dawned cloudy and calm. Arrived at the track at 8.30 and was immediately impressed with the set up. First time on the track seemed to last for ages, the track is a lot longer than Manfeild and soooooo smooth. Great fun.
Got in six sessions getting quicker each time. Had a blast and got back to my uncles place shattered.
Today was wet unfortunately. Got three sessions in before they called the day off :mellow: Got to catch up with a few KBers there which was good.
Off to Hamilton tomorrow.
