Hey everyone

Am looking at getting a new exhaust for my Suzuki Bandit 1990 GSF250.
what would be a good exhaust for this particular bike, thats not going to break the bank, looks good, sounds good and preforms good.

Thanks.

Geez Foobs, you should just debaffle your current one and start saving for that R6 you're always going on about ;P. Anyways, probably shouldn't waste money as it already sounds mean as!

Here's his current exhaust - a mint factory one.

Well i think its safe to say that its "Probably" not worth getting a new exhaust, probably wont get that much more performance and just be another expense and won't exactly get my money back when i do eventually sell the bike.

Ah well, maybe just save the money for a bigger bike when i get there!

I was going to watch this thread with great interest - sure you might not get the money back when you sell it (Usually at least a year down the line), but the point is that it sounds sexy as hell. :)

I'm thinking of grabbing a new pipe for Kate, but was going to see what people suggested first :(

Bling to you for the correct answer. :first:

Save that $400 for gear/suspension/new bike as it won't do shit for power.

If it's the sound you're after I'd consider de-baffling your existing can. Obstacle has a Hornet (which I've been borrowing lately) that has had that done. It's stupid loud but sounds great when you open it up. :Punk:

Just beware you'll likely lose some low end torque which given a 250 IL4 doesn't have much to begin with is saying something.

Save your money and just debaffle the existing can, that should be sufficient in getting the sound that your after. If youve got a bit of coin, have a look at neptune exhausts, they look pretty mint.

well it really all comes down to how much more performance am i "really" going to get in the end after dropping a few hundred on a spanking new exhaust. Yes, it would be nice to have something that sounds better, but the last thing i want is another boy racer wanabe and have a massive sound engine but jack all performance.

Have ya checked out neptune mufflers nz ? it might not be on their site but if you send them an email they might make one as a 1 off  i dont think they are that expensive but still on a 250cc ...is it worth it ,i had one on my 250 hornet tho ad i really recommend it as it made it sound real "meaty" :2thumbsup
