Anyone else race this today?

It was a tricky race with all the rain we had on friday night which made it mighty slippery, one part of the track on the fourth lap got totally blocked with a couple of hundred bikes trying to crawl their way up a hill and many of them getting stuck in a couple of monster ruts.

Still was a good race, but i'm totally stuffed now.

Yeah, thought I reckonised the number. Stuffed is probably a good word for it.
Lots of local track riders (burglers) that have probably riden this track a thousand times. Still its bloody good to get out and ride unique venues. Chop was with us and he reckons its much like Kimmeys in set up. All in all a good race though and I'm glad it pissed down over night otherwise it would have been dusty as.

Hey James, where have you been hiding? I thought you must have given the sport a miss.

Have been racing in the rookies class, ended up 14th out of 69 yesterday which I was reasonably happy with.

KTMBOY i didn't see you there what class were you in? How did you go?
I also thought the terrain was similar to Kimmys, not quite the fast and flowing stuff that me and the 300 prefers but it was still good.

Rode in the clubbies as I had a DNF in rd 1 and didn't ride at Matata. Mixed result, ended up 13th. coming back from 30th with no clutch on the last two laps(busted hose). I couldn't be bothered waiting for the 30 or so riders at the last rutted section so with a bit of bush bashing I managed to forge a way past.
Funny thing was that when I came around 20 minutes later the same people were still waiting in the same spot. Hello!!

Hare and the tortoise. The leader for 5 laps crashed over a 20mtr bank close to home on the last lap. 1st to last in a sec.

Whibbly rode in the elite and we watched for 2 laps. Jeez he was just trail riding and left people like Cam Smith, Jason Davis and Singleton in the dust.

What a legend.

Not bad you must have been liking those conditions. Yeah on that hill the first time I went through and it was blocked I lost about 10 minutes waiting for a chance to get through the crowd, but the next time through I managed to squeeze past everyone quite easily. How many laps did you get in, 6?

Whibbly rode the gncc? he was at the bel ray on sunday as well. holy cow, that guy is another level. he looks like he is riding real slow, but it is just that he is so smooth. he lapped me and took off into the distance, it looked like he wasn't even trying.

So it was abit slippery then.
I was debating wether to go or not but decided the family day at kimmies would be more to my/our liking. I hate the slippery stuff. love the sand though but missed the woodhillround:angry:.
13th sounds pretty good dammad. I always languishing at the back of the pack as I keep falling off! :whistle:or hit off

I got to this little uphill and it was totally blocked with riders, a few people tried to barge their way through but got no where, you just couldn't move, so we all just sat their and waited for them to clear the bikes out of some big ruts at the top, as soon as it started moving a little I didn't muck around and I flicked my bike up a bank and got around it all but I still lost a good 10-15 minutes waiting to get through, I think if I had have got their just a couple of minutes earlier before all the congestion started I would have got through without wasting anytime, but thats the luck of the draw I guess.
