And why just for Sportsbikes? Why aren't normal people allowed to access quality aftermarket parts? Sportsbike riders have no money.

I've actually got a set of this guy's rearsets on my trackday VFR400. I bought them on ebay when the dollar was a bit higher than it is now. I was a bit dubious, because this stuff comes from Thailand (basically my concern was paying and never seeing the goods, or them not being as advertised quality-wise) but I got friendly emails, paid with Paypal and the stuff was on my doorstep inside a week.

The only issue was there are no instructions, and I had to faff about a bit particularly when connecting up the rear brake master cylinder, (that probably says more about me than it does about this kit :) ), but the rest is straight bolt up. Nicely finished bits, look to be well made with ZP capscrews and such.

I havent dropped the bike so cant vouch for durability, but put it this way, when I sell the track bike and assuming the kit is still in good nick, I will put it on my road bike.

In fact I nearly bought another set, but the USD had moved against the baht, and the price had gone up... I paid something like USD$99 plus shipping..so $150US all up.

FWIW, my experience

does the rear brake light switch still work on these?

HenryDorsetCase
3rd December 2007, 09:36
It would depend on where the switch was mounted I guess. Not an issue with a trackday bike and if they go back on the road bike I will just have to bodge something. I hadnt actually considered that, good point.

does the rear brake light switch still work on these? The levers appear to have the hole required to hook the spring on... the rest isn't rocket science :)

These sets that i offer on this web don't like my usually items on eBay. Because after they anodize color they are polished again that reason why the color is beautiful. :)
If you have any question please don't hesitate to ask me in this board or my e-mail.

Heh - as Poos hijacked the thread, I'll do so too. We do Acculign rearsets for Ducatis and Aprilias. Unbelievable quality (made by a guy who also makes jet turbine alignment gauges, so you can imagine the tolerances he works to). They're not cheap, but if you want the best, they're here:

I'm sorry I don't follow you. Do you mean that I can buy adjustable rearsets for my Z750S?

Or do you mean the that you only make rearsets for the tiny sample of motorcyclists who own squid bikes and give up and run home to Mummy the first time they crash?

You need more coffee!

Squids like bling. In fact, that's half the reason of being a squid -- to pose in front of your fellow squids. Anodised rear-sets are for most squids simply bling. How many riders of old-man bikes want bling? Not many -- probably not many more than those who want them for their intended purpose. Supply and demand. Like making Tyga fairings for DBD34s

Sorry,my english skill isn't good, sometime may make you confuse. I mean the factory can make the rearsets to order but it need has an original model so the factory can make it.
If you send your stock rearsets to us,we can make it to adjustable rearsets also. ;)

How do we know trust we can trust you? If this man sends you his rear sets, then he can't ride his bike. If you never send them back, or refuse to, or go out of business, he is pretty much fucked. The recommendation from HenryDorsetCase is a bonus, but losing some money to someone overseas is far easier to take than having your factory rearsets disappear never to be seen again. No disrespect intended, you can see our position and why I feel the need to ask?

How long are you going to need them for?

Will they cost the same as above? Or will you discount him a little for having lent you the sample for however long it takes?

Paypal will get you your money back, once you've provided them with blood you've personally obtained from a stone, your first born, two limbs and enough paperwork to render you the person who singularly managed to deforest half of Brazil.

Other than that, your money's safe...

I think that expensive for a guy who want to make the rearsets that isn't in my listed. Because he has to pay about sending to me and sending back also. So i recommend order the rearsets follow my listed it will be better.
