Parnell , Auckland

My CB550 (Cafe RAcer) is back together and I need an electrician to check the wiring/ grounding and solve two wires that I have forgotten where they go to. I want this done before I fit the battery and fire up the reconditioned engine. These are precaution measures and not a fix up from a f*ck up.

The loom is original and in great condition and the bike is restored immaculately (clean and very tidy). I have wired it all up neatly as I was very careful when I stripped the bike down and marked up the connections. This should be easy for someone who knows how to read a wiring plan ( I have the workshop manual) and read a meter.

PM me please if interested - Paying cash plus a beer or two at my place.

(I need to do this before Xmas and preferably this week)

You could try this bloke TripleZee Cycles in Roscommon Rd Manukau. He specialises in electrics. He was installing a factorypro dyno as well when we popped in. Hes "old school" and seems to know what hes talking about. He was building an SD900 motor so a couple of wires on cb550 shouldnt be a problem!!

BTW Duc, offtopic I know, but a couple of times a chap on a Monster has come dry-clutch-rattling up Parnell Rd as I'm parking my bike and waved. Is that you? Haven't seen any other Monsters in Parnell, and most Ducatisti tend not to wave at shitty old Hondas ;)

Yep that would be me. Your bike got my attention outside the Cafe.

Hehe, what were they for? I've got a single black wire hanging out of my loom, and I have no idea what it does. Can't even find it on the wiring diagram. The mysteries of life:2thumbsup

One was intentionally unused. The other was for the horn. I had slightly miswired it.

Black is almost certainly a Ground wire and will connect to another Black.
