What you said needed to be said. I saw the programme and the whole thing was in defence of the cop. You posted a legitimate thread and the pussy mod who closed the post realy needs a cock up their arse. YOUR THREAD WOULD NOT HAVE BEEN CLOSED IF JOE PUBLIC HAD HAVE DONE THe U TURN. Their would have been howls of rage. If a cop fucks up and this one did they are fair game.

I agree. If it had been a tourist in a camper van hung the U turn, there would not have been such a moderator defense reaction . Whilst cops should not be swagged off just for being cops, they should not be accorded an automatic 'can do no wrong' status. It ought not be part of the moderator function to serve as the universal defender and apologist of the Establishment, right or wrong.
Which said, nor should the fact that one cop stuffed up be extended into a universal condemnation of the entire force. One guy fucked up. The fact that he was a cop should not serve as an excuse. Nor should it serve to blacken all the other cops who have not fucked up.

yeah i like how what id posted kinda got shot down .....
like does this now mean you dont need to indicate 3 secs before turning .....when backing and have a crash your not in the wrong ....or when you leave a car park no matter what you do you wont be in the wrong.
And now it seams if you do a u turn no matter what happens you still wont be in the wrong .
Theres time where what ever happens you are in the wrong this u turn is clearly one of those times , like the above

Oh come on! The guy had crucified the entire Police force and Judiciary system in one pointless post.
How about sticking to the facts for a change or do we just let the kangaroo court go nuts? Let's see what comes of the whole sorry saga before we go whinging about the outcome.

Yes I agree Lokrite's post was cynical but that is no excuse for the mods to close it, just after two hours. That's gota be a KB record of some kind. It's been a bad weekeend for bikers. KB is 'resource where for whatever reasons, a little steam can be let off. Lokrite raised a legitimate concern. This thread is not about that but that for whatever reason his thread was shutdown. I for one would like a public explanation as to why.

Crikey! Whatever happened to free speech and allowing people to voice their opinions? Censorship before debate truly begins smacks of some determinate that decides what can be discussed or not! :gob:
