Well, I have never really wanted something so much as I do the new HD Nightsters. I am in love. I have been perusing all the stories and pictures since they first began appearing. Now I am sold, Wellington Motorcycles have a couple of demo models, in the orange and black (na not this bikerchic!) But I am going to put my order in for the first bloodred and black model they can get there hands on.
I thought I was a bit 'butch' riding the honda! I wanted to ride a meaty bike, but had to have a white one cause I was a 'lady' (ha ha). But these new HD's have me eager to get it out on the road.

Anyone want to buy a 07 Honda 750 Shadow, with a couple of tank dents, and a few scrapings on the exhausts? I am only 50 kgs, and "betty" has sometimes gotten away from me. She's only got 8000ks on the clock, in pearl white.

Awesome bike really, just when a girls in love she does everything to get her desire!

.............and the Harley is going to be lighter and easier to handle..............????????

was thinking that... if a 750 gets away, whats a 1200 hd gonna do?

heres something i read a few days ago, from an american harley site.

One thing that you definitely need to consider and bring up with the dealer if you are still interested. Is the problems they are having with the 110. Go to cvoharley.com and read all of the threads regarding the 110s breaking down. It appears that across the board, they are developing leaks on the rear cylinder between 4000 and 6000 miles. I know of three people with them in addition to the site, one has 22K on his 2007, is back in the shop for the 3rd time. Have another friend that just did the upgrade and went down this past weekend.

The CVO are not selling good around here because the market has learned about the engines. Do some research and bring this up with the dealer.

Yes she will be a lighter because even though they are both dry weight of 247kgs, I will have 20m shorter seat height and therefore more control with my legs and feet.
And the mention of getting away from me, was reference to back when I bought her. I was travelling through very heavy rain and winds over in Carterton and got thrown in the gusts! Not a reference to the speed I may have been travelling!
I have riden since I was very young and would not say I am perfectly experienced, but I have miles under the belt (so say!). I believe no rider will ever be experienced fully, because each ride is a very different one with all the elements involved, from the ride I had the day before.

And anyway have you not ever hankered for something. I would have rather had nicer conversations develop on the motorbike itself not my lacking/abilities.

Sorry, it was a smart arse comment about selling my 'betty', I had not thought of really selling her, and to be honest I would have put it on the buy/sell thread if I was serious.

Before layin down your hard earned cash on this Hardley Davidson consider this:

Do you have the Attitude?
Can you wear the gear?
Do you own a Ute?

Have you purchased Roadside Assistance?
Do you have a large volume drip tray in your garage?:msn-wink:

Agree with you Bruiser, but safety is easy riding along the boulevard!

To P38: I don't give a hoot bout all you say is 'required' to ride a HD, heart, soul and desire is all I need to have the pleasure of riding the roads... what more would I need!

heres something i read a few days ago, from an american harley site.If you knew any thing about Harleys you would know that Shazz will not be afected by a CVO 110 as this is an engine put out by their custom vehical operation hence the abreviation "CVO" and the 110 refers to the size of the engine 110 Cubic inches this is somewhere around 1760cc. I think the Nightster is 883cc.

Read most of those sites, and as has been pointed out, doesn't apply to the Sportsters as they still use the Evo 883 and 1200 motors, updated. Haven't heard of an 883 Nightster, as far as I know they are all 1200's.

Guys! This is a tongue-in-cheek p/t based on long established Harley p/t's! Who could take it seriously!!!??? I laughed! Don't be so sensitive!:sunny:

While I like the style, I still prefer the 1200R. I saw in a Pommie mag once a 1200 turned into a cafe racer and it was brilliant, even better than Harley's new version! My two fav Harleys are the 1200 Sporty and the Ultra Classic Electra Glide! Enjoy!

Your money, your call: I really like those as well, and you can't beat the price.

When do you pick it up? my brother in law is buying a street bob and it doesnt get here till Feb I think he said... he sold his other bike really quickly (much quicker than he expected, but the guy was there waving the money, so what ya gonna do...?) , Now he is all angsty because he has nothing to ride.....
