well the zxr was up for sale, i cannot afford another motor for it (she stuffed a big end bearing on cylinder unmber 3 at taupo racetrack....which has worn into the crank.

i have an old blown up motor also that threw a rod, i was going to make one out of two, but i suspect the other crank is buggered.

i can get a second hand one for $225, and can give you that persons contact details.

but to be honest might suit somebody who races? or had a crash ...

bike has a current wof and registration.

have everything.... but the engine is out...and has the head and block and sump off.

maybe it's of some use to somebody,

i will be straight up, i cannot take less than 1500 for it.

fork seals are good, chain and sprockets near new...nsr honda tail etc...

new discs and pads, near new tyres, front is still very good tread (dunlop gpr a-10's front and rear) the rear is getting pretty worn in the middle i think about 2mm tread left.

a zxr same year and model as mine is 4k on trademe, mines has good tyres new brake discs ...pads etc....

so if they pay 1k...allow 500 for a motor....500 for a paintjob...

then it's as mint as the ones on trademe.

so then a bike that they can sell for 4k will only owe them 2k.....

even if they ride it for a year with the current 250 market making these bikes only gain value (zxr's cost 3k a year ago)

they have a bike that come time to sell it is impossible for them to loose money on it (provided they dont blow it up like i did).

just because you got a $500 bargain bike that in no way represents the market value, if i put this bike on trademe i could very quickly flick it for 1500 or more.

but i am not putting it on trademe yet as i prefer to help out kiwibiker people first, and give them first dibs on the bike as such, at a lesser price.

Head including the cam's are probably worth 200 at least i would imagine.

Pistion 4 of em might be able to get 300 for all of them.

Chasis is worth a couple hunderd if you sell it too a bucket guy with the suspension and brakes intact.

You might get 50 bucks for the rooted bottom end as well

Think about it mate if you do it right you can almost get a grand if not a grand.
