Yeah read that the other day. I like how they take great pains to point out that it's NOT TRACTION CONTROL

mmmmmmmm  And justified fitting rubber brake hoses instead of braided lines, when asked,, because braided lines could be too "sudden" on the brakes - the rubber lines gave more "squish' - thereby not having new riders outbraking themselves or coming to grief!
I would think a rider buying a 1000 sportbike should be able to handle the "suddeness" of the brakes at least as well as the "suddeness" of the acceleration - or what the hell are they doing buying it in the first place!

They don't have cc/power limits over there do they?

I'm sure Kawasaki's cheaper suspension is much better than Ohlins for many reasons.

Beautiful machine. Maybe I'll be able to get it in 5 years time...

What the hell are bike designers thinking these days.

Those mirrors look ridiculous, and go with the rest of the bike, the new gixxer is in the same category, far to overworked, at least yamaha didnt make their new thou look asthough it had been in a crash.

Re the looks, the mirrors / integrated indicators as well as the rear number plate bracket is designed to basically unplug in seconds, this is the first 100% race focused ZX10R made to date, its designed to be a trackday bike.
the bike is going to be a real awesome piece of kit.

Re brake hoses, it is a fact that the more performance mods made the higher the injury, if they put it out on braided lines people would think they can stop on a dime, inheritantly people are stupid, take for example ABS coming into Cars, people actually crashed more, thinking they were okay because they had ABS
Same to be said with the ZXR1400 and a restriction up to 4500rpm, it was deemed that American market riders and ex suzuki riders wouldnt be able to handle it, they were right, which is why on a GSXR1000 you find learner modes, like A,B and C
the Market is big, and the Mods you can make are plentiful so.

I think it looks "serious".

You'd just need some artist to add "angry" eyebrows on the fairing.

Disclaimer: i am not that artist.

I think the GIANT BOOT-SHAPED DENT in the side fairing detracts from its looks somewhat.

But how fast does it go, mister?

...

Not the prettiest bike ever, but not the ugliest, either. Anyway, you can't see the mantelpiece when you're stoking the fire, eh?
