Do you know the rider with the plate Radon ?
Then tell them they are a dipshit,
Just coming home from work on the albany express way, and was at the lights at bush road intersection, the lights turned green (for the people on albany express way to go) and this dip shit does not give way and turns from bush road onto albany express way just missing a car by a meter or so (car breaks hard to let bike go in front), then opens the bike up to get ahead of others in the other lane.
So next time Give Way. :argue:

No need to 'name & shame' them. If they want to act like a dick, that's their prerogative. If you want to whine, then whine but leave the offender anonymous unless it's a truely serious offence*
*Riding on the wrong side of the road, through a red light, at 140kph, naked, outside a kindergarten, during a hail storm, with no helmet and a endangered giant panda as pillion.

But seems to be the season for morons.
I saw an american import (moron not the bike) riding a new ZX10 up kyberpass yesturday. Could clearly see by the way he was riding he was a learner. It didnt help the matter that he had american munter going for him too (chrome-open-faced helmet, crap brown fashion gloves - all this guy needed was some chaps).
I'd give that bike a 1 month life-time, but in saying that it has probably allready fallen off the side stand by now.

You, sir, on your GN250, were filtering nicely southbound over the harbour bridge today, right up until you swerved in front of a truck to move from lane 2 to filtering-lane 3A, appearing not to notice that I was barrelling up 3A right behind you.
Before entering a filtering lane, particularly when cutting in front of a truck, stop and check your mirrors for other motorcyclists coming up behind you, particularly at reasonable pace. If I hadn't seen you coming from the other side of the truck, I wouldn't have grabbed the brakes, and we could have gone down in a charming little Suzuki tangle.
You need to work on your situational awareness. It's almost always a bad idea to make such abrupt maneuvers when filtering. Take an extra second or two and scope things out before diving into gaps. You're not the only bike on the road.
Rant over.

I draw a line when it comes to bitching about someone else's riding - if they caused you to have to take evasive action, you have the moral authority to bitch. If you just saw them doing shit you didn't like, expect people to think you're a bit of a twat for whinging about it.
One man's dangerous maneuver is another man's legitimate filtering technique.
If we all stuck rigidly to the road regulations, we might as well commute by car.

Well that's fine for you.
Most people when they publish photos of their bike on KB or elsewhere on the 'Net either take the shot from an angle that doesn't show the plate, or they edit the photograph to delete the plate details.
Publishing plates can provide thieves with a shopping list complete with locations. Feel free to publish your own (since you seem to feel lucky:whistle:) but we have no right to publish someone else's details. There may perhaps be circumstances where it's justified but it shouldn't done lightly.

Ixion
13th December 2007, 10:07
So why should I care what a non-discerning cager thinks ? (Or any cager, for that matter). A non-discerning cager will always have a low opinion of those who ride, 'cos said cager will disapprove of anything that is different to what he or she would do in a cage. The only way to meet with the approval of such cagers would be to ride as if driving a cage, very slowly, very badly and very stupidly.
If you ride a bike one of the first lessons you must learn is that cagers hate you, WILL try to hurt you if they get the chance and are incapable of rational thought (the exceptions are mostly caged bikers - who envy you) . Trying to suck up to them is a waste of time. Just don't give them the chance to do whatever it is they intend.

Sorry I can't follow your logic.
Agreed, it's best not to park the bike where it can be seen from the road.
It'd be a bit inconsistent to hide the bike around the back of the house, then put a picture of the plate on the 'Net which gives anybody who wants to look access to your address.
