If anyone knows anyone who saw something, please contact the police, event number P000307923.
Here's the damage. My bike's getting rattier all the time.

I would really like to beleive that it was just some gutless retard who backed into it with a car, rather than malicious intent. Either way, that sucks arse man.

No note. If there was, then I'd just talk to them, and no thread. Where's the honesty?

Does suck alot, any other marks on it, i.e. different colour paint from an impact ?
Look on the other side as it could have been hit from that side and forced over.

I just dont get it...
If it was malicious... then I really dont undertsand...
If it was not, why not just leave a note and say "Sorry dude, my bad, please call 021 ******* to discuss"
People can be so rude and inconsiderate... what the hell happened to treating people the way you would want to be treated?

Its because as soon as it happen most people see $$$$ that they have to pay (if it was hit by a car) and there are a good number of people with no insurance and if they do have insurance then they dont want there no claim bonus to go etc, the only time these people will own up is if someone saw them or that the owner of the car/bike they hit is there.
I had one a few months ago when I did not see a women park up behind me at a service station, I hit her car (at like 5-10k) and stuffed up her number plate, i waited by her car till she came out and said sorry and that there was no real damage but if you she wanted a new number plate then they are only like 20 - 30 dollars at the post office and I am more than happy to pay for it and offered her my cellphone number, she said "oh dont worry about it, its just a number plate".

I had some dumb beyatch reverse into my ZX6R and knock it over, over the right hand side... I just took her licence off her and wouldn't let her leave till she paid me what the damage was worth

I backed into a bike in Welly on my ginny earlier on this year - just bad judgement and thinking about the day ahead, not what I was doing at the time. Felt like shit and left a note under the seat strap. Nobody got in touch tho. Still feel shitty about it but bike seemed OK. Thank god it wasn't too heavy for me to pick up!!
I hate it when people do stuff and don't take responsibility for it. Yes, it might be $$ in the end, but surely it's better to have to shell out $$ than to live with feeling shitty? Maybe that's it - maybe people who don't own up simply have no conscience?

Yeah, the bike was parked exactly how I left it. There was no paint marks at all. I think someone just walked past, saw my bike, and grabbed a baseball bat and took some swings at it.

I would not fix the damage, but park the bike in the same area and watch who comes over to take a look at it...
Usually a gutless animal comes back to the scene of the crime.:Police:

Thats quite a dent to have been made in one swing of a b.bat, and a strange position. And why just the two hits, no time? If I had a bat and wanted to damage a bike quickly I would start with the headlight/taillight/mirror.
My wife had both tires stabbed again the other day - arseholes everywhere huh.

that's shit!!
hope you catch the fucker:mad:
looks like it was done with intent would be pretty hard to just damage that part of the tank without any other damage(apart from the mirror)
any chance of there being a CCTV security cam in the area??

I know it doesn't help, but you must believe that karma will come back to the arsehole responsible.

Same thing happened to Phoenix, a blind doctor...... but she left a note, and had to get help from the people who were working across the road to pick it up, so we had witnesses. She paid for the damages.
That really sucks Unople, there are some real dicks out there! Hope you get some witnesses. Never hurts to advertise in that area that it happened and you reported it, someone must have seen something

That truly sucks. I can only imagine the level of gibbering rage I'd be dealing with if someone did that to my machine.
There's not a lot you can do other than making an insurance claim if you're covered, sorting it out yourself if you're not, and/or trying to stake out the scene of the crime and identify the culprit. Probably a lost cause, though.
Sympathy all round, and here's hoping that that's your share of bike-related bad shit over and done with for the next year, eh?

Looking at the pics I'd say it was a truck that reversed into it. Look at the scrape marks in on the tank.
Go ask you neighbours if they had anything deliverred by truck today.

Maybe the spare wh1eel ion the back of the door but it prolly wouldn't be wide enough to get the mirror at the same time.

Swell depends how hard they hit it and if the mirror was out enuff to get hit by the rest of the 4 wheel drive, but you could be right it could be a truck it does kind of look like rubber marks (like trucks have)
