Has anyone had any experience with exide batteries? Are they arny good? The TL needs a new battery (CTX12-BS) and the bike shop reckons $130.00, or I can get and Exide one through work for only 60 odd dollars. But are they any good???

Cheers

No experience with Exide particularly but IMHO if you're a daily or at least very regular and frequent rider rider I'd go for the Exide or any other cheap battery. What you're MAINLY getting for the extra money is a battery which will be more resistant to crapping out due to infrequent use (i.e. being in a low state of charge). If you ride infrequently a good quality battery may be more economic in the long run. Even cheap batteries on infrequently ridden bikes can give good service if you put them on a trickle charger to keep them charged uo between rides (if you can be bothered). Just my 2 cents.
