Very excited tonight, just like speed on the GN the excitement has built up slowly since this morning, and is only just now getting into top speed!

Lost my wof and had to rush for a replacement before the test, husband is ill so was concerned about leaving him, nervous as all heck and took off with the side stand down. But rode ok, and gave way etc ok, and signalled ok, and u turned ok, and spotted hazards ok and passed. Phew.

And GI Joe - you will be pleased to know that the mighty GN will be staying in the family. Have been perving at bigger bikes, of course, mmmmm BMWmmmmmm, but due to impressive amounts of fiscal irresponsibility in other areas, there is no spare dosh at the moment. Also, I really like my GN, and don't want to sell it, even if I do get a bigger bike.

So, will be upgrading.....tyres! I plan to emulate Robingnevil (sp) and do some back country gravel road adventure riding, but need to turn my bike into a GN scrambler first with some decent tyres.

Tips for doing the test - relax!!!!!

Merry Christmas!

Congratulations and well done.......

Yeah good on you for staying in the 250 club.....
You don't have to rush off like everyone else does, when they get their full license, to go and buy a bigger bike, when you already like/love the bike you have...

There are many on KB with their full license who wants to stay on a 250cc bike.
Heck I have had my bike for 8 years..... and love her to bits.....
well ok I have seen every blardy bit of her recently.....:crybaby:

Hi Crashe, ta. Do you remember it was you who told me about Kiwibiker in the first place? I asked about bikes on trademe.

Is your bike broken? What do you mean by seeing all of it?

Good to hear that not everyone gets a bigger bike straight away, (let alone already having it before their test not mentioning names cough cough donor chickadee zeocencough cough. Heh heh.

Of course I probably would if I could, after all, my 250 isn't a VIRAGO!

Good on ya... I stayed on my 250 for a few months after I got my full, until the right bike came along. No need to rush, eh?

New tires on the GN sound like a good idea, though!

Congrats Lucy. I was bad boy. I sold the VTR 2 weeks before my full and bought the Duchess. Rode the Duchess to Chisanga's house the day of my test and he let me borrow his VTR for the test provided he was allowed to perv at the Duchess in hes garage (I hope he didn't take a peek up her fairing! How rude).

I had forgotten how tiny the VTR is once I had got used to a bigger bike.

When you do get a bigger bike you won't miss the little bike.

:woohoo: Good on ya! Nice to hear you won't be giving the mighty ginny the spanish archer yet! I'm still pootling around on my little ol'hornet and Daisy still, no rush to get the bigger brother yet! (CB900) but will be doing so sometime next year!

I'm planning on a little pootle around NZ later, and I think Raetihi has a pie shop I need to try! (This is part of my Grande Volte Face Pie Pootling Marathon plan!)

Now, what bike were you thinking of getting later on when the mood strikes you to? :devil2:

I bet you are right, I mean, the GN is basically the only motobike I've ridden for more than one day. I'm sure I'll love any bike, I already like perving at all bikes!

Oh yes, definitely worth a pootle..

If you are looking to upgrade I have a 400cc for sale - a mint Honda RVF400RR.

Great sports bike, great step up from a 250, and also a perfect bike for a girl (its low)...
