Hey guys...

Did something stupid the other day... Ended up with me needing to find 2 new front discs for my bike. Ex Suzuki they are 600 each.. Aftermarket 320 each.

Im hoping someone out there may have some cheaper second hand ones to get me going?

My bike is an 02 GS1200SS Suzuki but Im pretty sure the discs are the same as Bandit 1200's and RF900's.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Cheers!

Broken record here.
Victorian Motorcycle Wreckers in Australia.

I have bought a lot of stuff from them, fast, friendly, reliable and know their shit. Far easier to deal with than any of the local wreckers I have dealt with.

Are the rotors completely stuffed ? An Engineer may be able to take a cut off them and bring them back into true unless they are really mangled.

I have 4 here, with runouts from 10 - 30 thou. 320mm 5 bolt off SRAD or TL.
They work fine, just a little 'shuddery'...let me know if you want.

Look up the EBC brakes website, they have a reference catalogue that you can look your bike up in.

Then go to www.starcycle.com and order them. Last pair of EBC pro-lite rotors I ordered cost US$175 each, make sure you get new matching pads if you buy new rotors.

Heh.... somebody posting up a thread asking about RF900 discs. That's new

In one of the previous threads I asked if there was anything particularly wrong with the design, but they said not. It does seem weird, though, doesn't it?

Happy hunting Jamie.:msn-wink:
Mstrs offer might buy you some breathing space over the holiday period.
$320 for after market, (EBC?) is a pretty good price. I was qouted up to $650 a disc for the Scrambler.:pinch:

From looking at an RF900 yesterday, it would seem that the carrier is offset, unlike the GSXR discs. That being the case, I can't help.

Hello.

I have a pair of discs off a TLR. One is mint, the other has a fucked carrier. A part from the carrier the disc 'looks' straight (nothing a dead-blow can't fix).

It would seem that TL/GSXR discs are flat, but GS/Bandit/RF have an offset carrier....
