looking for a 250 or 125 gn or similar in the canterbury reigion down to dunedin
Not worried if a bit rough paint wise but must have a good engine

I chose the RG because it's low and light, I dropped hubby's VTR250 because I was too tetter tottery on it. The RG's a great starter bike, see if you can find one to fling a leg over to test out whether she's comfy on it.

check out trade me, you should be able to pick something up at a decent price

The problem with that is you have thousands of other people out there thinking exactly the same thing. You wont get anything really suitable [reg+warrant+condition] for under $1500-$2000.

Just keep plugging the mates rates avenues, that's how my old man got me hooked up. There's bound to be someone on here who knows someone thats got something laying around.

EDIT: That RG150 is pretty reasonable ;] - I was thinking to myself "Fuck, I'd have that if I didn't already have a CB175 lined up!"

The RG150 in general is a pretty sweet little bike - there are a lot of them out there with well over 50,000km on the clock still running.

The one I'm selling rides well - I used to use it to get to and from work in Auckland when I was between bikes or if the Ducati was being serviced.

As I've said in the thread it's got plenty of tread on the tyres, plenty of life left in the chain and sprockets, I've always used fully synthetic 2T oil in it (only the best!). It has recently had the oil changed in the gearbox.

Starts easily even after it's been sitting for a while (unless my 2 year old flips the kill switch and doesn't tell anyone!)

HAha yeah that blasted little switch has made me look a fool a few time now.

viragos have a lower seat than the ginny... ive used mine twice now to go from wangas to bluff and back. they run fine for miles and miles, but they are a bit more costly than a ginny, but will last 10 times as long as a modern chinese one. if she must get a gn, get an 80s one, as they are quality.
