scary shit, especially that chinese military one .
I just started driving a truck again this week for the first time in years. Already got stuck on a clay track at a building site and had to go through a paddock to get out.
I was backing around the house with a 2m drop to the soon to be tennis courts, got almost right around when the ground gave way and the front slid down. Luckily I could then go forward onto a clay track but there was no way I could get back up. Had 10 or so builders come out to watch my next move they thought it was a good effort.
Anyway, today whilst moving a 1 tonne concrete bench top the tractor they were using slipped halfway down it as well, so I didn't get so much shit when I went back for another delivery.

Dangerous? Paekak Hill is a stroll on the beach compared with the Akas. Now that's a road with a death-wish.

Fark, from those shots the Skippers pass road hasn't changed since the old man made us get out and walk behind the car nearly half a century ago.

It's there alright....
Among other cliff-side roads of New Zealand we have to mention the Paikakariki road on the North Island - rewarding with awesome coastal views, but demanding driver's full attention at the same time. Otherwise the careless stray glance toward a pretty landscape may become the last thing you'll gaze upon, period.

That's the safest part of that road. The inland stretch from the summit to Battle Hill Farm Forest Park is where one is most likely to meet one's demise: blind corners, gravel and kindy mums in SUVs or boi racers on one's side of the road. Not to mention the occasional demented wandering mammal (other than SkidMark).

Indeed. Almost got hit by a car up there several times, one of the close calls resulted in me flying off the road and into the bushes.
Moonshine Hill Road is the worst road I've been down. It's a slightly wider footpath basically, barely wide enough for the 4x4s that "know the road".
