Decided it would be funny to tailgate me at a distance of about half a metre, while driving at 60ish. :angry2:

And then decided to overtake me on the left, in the same lane...only to be turning right at the next intersection...and having to stop in the turning bay.

I just tried to stay well away from him at that point :calm:

So if you see a maroon coloured holden, plate 8AFORD, expect the worst.

Hearing this makes me so angry. If anyone sees this car stick an old set of handlebars through the windscreen. He'll figure it out.

About all you can do is try and avoid the bastards(sorry:mad:). If you do react half of them have no idea what they have done wrong and the other half are as likely to have a go. :dodge::headbang:

You have his plate,a good disription of when and where it happened, go lay a complaint againt the driver. You should do this before another rider gets taken out by this moron.
It is no matter that your complaint is laid hours, or a day after the offence.
You dont know, this may be the final thing the Police need to shut this turkey down.
Good luck

Had similar the other day in my car going to Matamata. HP car on other side of road, obviously trying to get his quota. Flash my lights at him and point at the arsehole 1/2 a meter behind me. Copper didn't do fuck all.

Plenty of space for him to U-turn too.

Yeah, outside Pak n Save in Mt Albert on thursday (when it was pissing down) I took off when the light went green, checked the car behind me to the right (cause I was between lanes at the front) and when I looked up there's a car running the red to turn right in front of me.
The cop car in the lane next to him did SFA.

My attempts at savage honking were hampered somwhat by the fact I was thumbing the indicator button instead...

Guys, that's what your spare helmet is for. Full reach will take off a door mirror or crack a a windscreen. Easier withgout gloves though;)

Good.

Note that it is a black hole process, you'll get a confirmation email back and that is it. You wont hear anything back about what they do with it after that.

I do have one of those visualisations about a shreadder on the other side of the compalint process.

Has anyone ever had a letter or anything from it? I sort of recall reading one of the Kiwi Rider editorals about it, but that was it.

i got a letter after reporting a taxi driver who attempted to get inside mums side of the car one day.
i wouldnt have bothered, but our complaints to the taxi company were met with "hes not one of ours!" despite there only being 2 companies in town... one blue, one green. wankers. we didnt even get an apology out of them.

I had some dickhead on Caro Drive try to change lanes into me. What really pissed me was the accusation of coming up fast on his right. Surfice to say I gave him a mouthful!

I feel your pain!

Plate, correctly, is 8AF0RD (zero, not O). They probably check for stuff like that, though. 1990 red Holden Executive.

googled the number plate and wound up here! I dont own a moterbike but registered anyway to share story and outcome.

He was tailgating me, giving me the fingers so returned the favour. He then drove up along side me on double yellow lines and tried to force me off the road. I pulled back to avoid being hit then he slowed down and jestured for me to pull over. I didnt obviously. He then came across a slow moving tractor and passed him on double yellow lines/blind corner. Actually hit tractors trailer on way through(lovely scratch right up side of car now). After I passed tractor and found myself behind him again he made a poor attempt at throwing an apple at my car, then shot off passing 2 more cars dangerously. I then phoned police and helped direct a squad car to his vicinity. Hope they found the bastard! Have also written formal complaint to police so at the very least he will be getting a written warning. Funny thing is I wouldnt have remembered any other number plate!
