I just some of these
http://www.pressurezone.co.nz/

And they seem to do the job alright.

I'd been having trouble losing pressure, and the pins in my valves seemed to be half responsible...not sealing properly.

While I'd like to get some shiny replacement valves, that didn't seem worth doing till the tyre had to be replaced, and in the meantime, these should seal the valve better than a black plastic cap when the pin is dodgy.

Plus at only $10 from trademe, it didn't hurt at all.

Anyone else use something similar, any experience with how reliable they are?

What psi do you usually have your tires at and what psi caps did you buy? 4-8psi down before you get a warning could mean disaster... did you buy above the norm?

Errrr... nope. Didn't think of anything like that.
I normally run 33/36...and got 32 and 36 caps.

I guess they'll only be worth checking when the tyres are cold...and a hint of yellow might mean a trip past a garage.

I don't ride that hard...I had my front reading only 18 once (although I'm not sure I belive these digital garage pumps) and wasn't noticing any problems on my commute.
