Shaun,
Don't know you but did hear about the crash you had and since being here in NZ i've read about your recovery here.
Are you planning on riding there again or is that is as far as competing at the TT goes?
Never raced there myself but have ridden the course a few times and been pit crew/refueller. Personally the TT and the Irish roads were a risk to far for my family in racing even with the offers of money for the Irish meets but much respect to the event and those that do ride there.
I unfortunately lost my best mate to the TT Production race a few years back and have known quite a few others who are still riding the course so to speak....
Just intrigued to see if you were contemplating racing there again...?

somehow i don't think i'll be back at the TT in 08 :(
i'll be listening online, as i've done when i can't be there
i wasn't too sure what to think when you said you were going back.
but, like you've said, if it's in yer blood, and a 'need', then so be it.
for the crash to happen where it did, i guess it was a bit of a freak, a one-off, and not a direct result of a bad line, missed braking marker etc... which i guess would be reassuring for you.
i hope all the preparations go as good as poss, and i do wish you all the best.
(lemme know if ya need an italian to liase with the factory)

Just read your other post about going back etc............
Which MV team are you talking to if you're able to say?
There were just a few last year in the UK and they were in Superstocks, ending the season as a joined team effort.
I know John Strike from STP quite well and while i've not spoken to him for a few months i read they are trying to put together a 'Superbike' MV for Chris Burns to ride with Warwick Nowland as a sort of Team Manager.
If it is them involved in some way i know John has a big passion for racing and developing a 'big' team. STP has gone from a bunch of guys club racing in the UK quite successfully to a BSB/BSStk team with the MV and factory support.............all achieved in the space of less than 3 years.

it good that they come for outsiders interest,
maybe next year there could be a young rider to purchase his on ride in a professional team and lastest model bikes.
hes a good guy running his team, did any kiwi riders ask for a ride and offer to bring sponsorship or cash ?
