Saw this on trademe, *drool* :gob:

Now I know that the stock Hornet has a single exhaust, so how much mulah would it cost to double the baby up? I mean, it is a great little bike being sold, $5,000... If I had the dosh it would be in my gargre (sp?) soo... when I get one some time next year, what would the price be to slap a nice double zorst like this one on?

the one thing ppl has warn me re the hornet's is that they use 180 rear tires, which makes them quite expensive when you want new shoes

Umm i think that is the 600 or more likely the 900. The 250 had a 130 on the rear if i am not mistaken.

Nope the 250 has a 180 rear tyre. I was told if you want a 250 that will see you thru for a while longer than any other, (apart from a 2 stroker) the Hornet is the way to go.

If I had had a "choice" when buying a 250 I would probably have got a Hornet instead of the Zeal. No regrets but.

I wouldn't mind a nice Hornet. Bit over my budget. And whatever 250 I get I wanna race so having a nice flash bike aint a good idea

?? EH ??
it would handle like a rotten sea barge!
if your dead set on it talk to the jokers at either Neptune or Cycle works in wellywood. those jokers make custom and performance pipes for all.
just be careful, if your a bit of a gun with it you might find that you will run out of ground clearance. many moons ago i had a 87 GPX250 with twin pipes and had two very nice (and rusty) scrapes on the pipes from getting it all the way over.

I think from memory the whole setup of the 250 hornet is basically one of there bigger bikes with a 250 thrown in it. Honda using up olds parts :o . But from what I understood they go very very well.

or the 180 tire is for looks really, for people who want a big bike look but too scared or not pratical to have a 600 or 1000. As its really a bike that is only sold in japan.

Argh! :)

So it sounds like a nice bike, eh? Luckily my Aunty which is Half funding my bike used to had a CB 900, so she is quite keen for me to get a hornet!

BUT: I will probably not be getting THAT specimen (need to get some mulah!) but I lov the look of the double pipes, so what would it cost to get a similar setup like that one?

just thinking about the exhaust setup. it'll loose some low end as well. Seeing its a 4 -> 2 exhaust. And not 4 -> 2 -> 1
